Polt vs. aLive/Mvp and then Hero/sOs. A very doable bracket if he's on point. Not the best WCS Finals again, but he threw away a won series vs. Hack and might have beaten Soulkey if he had scouted that top fourth earlier in game four. aLive/MVP are extremely beatable at the moment, both having their best seasons during WCS S1, and then sOs/Hero are both strong, but again two players who didn't have good S3's.

A semifinals appearance should be his goal. Anything else would be a cherry on a year where he has three major titles while being a half-time progamer.

I think he has a really good shot at the semifinal with the bracket he has. Like you said, all the players he's being put up against are definitely beatable. He said he was sick this weekend so hopefully he can just rest up and be just fine by the time Blizzcon rolls around. Should be one of the favorites heading into Dreamhack Winter, too.

Tournament is already in league with Premier ones, I mean, San, INoVation, ForGG, HyuN and Jaedong already for a tournament with a top prize of $4000? This is a player pool which could rival any WCS or DreamHack event. Oh, and I hope Polt does well if he decides to attend.

So as expected he will face Alive who 4-0 his challenger group in WCS NA.
Even though he's 4-6 against Alive, I think it's better to face him than the unpredictable bonjwa MVP.

Alive is actually a bad style matchup for Polt, his tactical style is boring but very taxing on the opponent's early game. Hopefully Polt has overcome his recent TvT weakness.

Polt defeats aLive 3-0 in some very convincing games. Both have fairly similar styles but Polt's defensive style just worked better against aLive's mistakes and aggression. Hope he does well against sOs, but knowing Polt's TvP, he should be fine.
