Polt's group is certainly manageable, and he should advance. His TvP is monstrous recently and I don't seem him losing to either First or Grubby unless he plays like he did at that DreamHack where he lost to Grubby and HuK. Bomber is a toss-up because I'm confident in Polt's TvT, but Bomber is just as good too. Even if he loses to Bomber somewhere along the line, Polt should be fine against the Protosses and advance.

Day9 is apparently setting up a Bo7 showmatch between Polt and Scarlett, and Scarlett confirmed it basically. She posted a Skype exchange between the two, and both confirmed it in a way.

Then if Polt beats Scarlett convincingly in a Bo7, I'd say his ZvT has definitely gotten back its former edge. From his matches against Hyun, Revival and JD it seems his macro can withstand a lot of damage, but he often loses strategic initiative and tempo control whenever the main push to the zerg's 3rd/4th gets stalled. Neo Planet S with its relatively narrow and predictable paths seems to cause him troubles in particular. Scarlett should be a good test to see if he's finally found a way to overcome this weakness.

Regardless of the outcome of the WCS Finals, Polt would garner at least 500 WCS points. This would leapfrog him over Soulkey, Mvp and Hero to become #2 player in the WCS rankings behind Innovation (who is right now untouchable).

Expected better from his legendary TvP, but this was the result I feared the most, because Polt has not been facing against WCS Korea players as of late. WCS NA Koreans are strong, but the WCS Korea players do appear a step above their North American brethren. Next games hopefully go well for Polt.
