Clearly Polt has the mindset of a top pro since he only loses 2-1 and doesn't ever get stomped, but it seems he lost his consistency after he started having to balance schoolwork and practice.

I reallt think he could have made it easier if Violet was here.
Even if he probably focused his practice on TvT since he was playing Ryung first, I feel his TvZ is trong enough that beating Violet was have been easier than beating aLive.

Wow Taeja is a super tough opponent tha I unfortunately don't see Polt besting.

Unfortunate for them to meet here in Challenger league to say the least. Is there NA Up/downs?, because each of them deserve Premier league.

It's sad to say but after watching some of his games (vs Snute in ZOTAC, vs Hyun in GIGABYTE) it seems Polt's skill has seriously declined. It's not the score or the quality of opponents but the way he lost. While his micro and macro are still ok, though they have never been stellar, he's lost his most important edge over other people, which is his strategic flexibility. In the past he would always be able to spot his opponent's temporary disadvantages and capitalize on them, whether a weak point in their positioning or a timing when their army is smaller. He was also not afraid of doing risky large-scale manoeuvres with his army to force those weaknesses out of the opponent, which made up for his relative lack of multitasking. However these days his strategic flair just isn't there anymore, as he just attacks repeatedly through certain routes depending on the map - they are probably optimal in practice, but the lack of strategic surprises makes it much easier for the opponent to defend. I don't know why, but maybe he really needs to get back to a team house to figure out these nuances of his game, unless he intends to just gradually bow out of progaming, which is also entirely reasonable.
