They aren't delaying cause it's at South by Southwest. It's like the White Ra/Stephano showmatch from last year, but with a large prize pool.

If Polt loses, they should just have a rematch the next week in HotS online.

I completely agree, because they could just as easily wait until the HotS servers are back up for FC rather than play in the outdated WoL. Understandably, it isn't in the control of IPL to decide when the servers should stay up until, but I think playing in HotS would benefit the viewers a lot more. They also have to time it with SxSW, so IPL has a reputation/economic perspective on this.

Also, last HotS beta stream right now.

I think it would have been better to label this a showmatch rather than a FC. If you call it a FC, why isn't it continuing the HotS trend? Or they could use the Fionn solution and do a second series online with HotS as a rematch of sorts.

Polt faces Creator in MLG Winter. I think this is another easy victory, because Polt sweeped him 5-1 last time in HotS. Unless Creator improved dramatically, this will be another repeat victory.

Potential match against Life is also excellent. Life only has to play IdrA/MiniGun, two players who should pose no challenge to him, so if Polt beats Creator, we get Polt vs Life. Now that it is HotS, both players are on more even footing, and Life hasn't looked too great while Polt has improved recently. Not the most difficult brackets either with only Stephano being the only player I see really threatening Polt.

Stephano really didn't play much HotS and it seems he's even frustrated by the game because of the idea of a reset of everyone skills.
If Polt can beat Life, Stephano should be no problem.

In that case, another easy stomp probably. Polt beat Minigun in the IPL6 HotS NA qualifier, and he apparently went with no losses throughout his run. Considering his godly TvP recently, this should be an easy sweep for Polt.

Polt takes out Minigun 2-1 in the KotB tournament. Lost one game due to a Void Ray/MsC all-in on Cloud Kingdom, but cameback next game with strong macro and positioning.

Polt lives in Austin, Texas. As for teams, just wait, I think Polt will reveal it when it is a good time.

Polt plays Grubby in KotB in 5 minutes. If he wins, he faces Morrow on launch night for $2,000.

He also faces Hyun tomorrow for $5,000 in a Bo11. Final time we'll probably see Polt ever play Wings. Even if he loses, he gets $3,000.

Polt cleans up Grubby 3-1 and faces MorroW in the finals. Lost one game on Cloud Kingdom in a similar style to his series against Minigun, a Stargate all-in. Beyond his apparent weakness to Stargate all-ins on CK, he seems solid in TvP.

Polt loses 3-6 to Hyun in FC, but no real surprise seeing as he's been playing mostly HotS for the past month and ZvT is stupid in WoL. Both played well, but will be fun to see them play again in HotS.

Still $3,000 for basically showing up and playing for three hours.

Polt sweeped MorroW 3-0 in the KotB finals in one-sided games. Only lost games to Void Ray all-ins on Cloud Kingdom, and showed why MLG is a tournament he is willing to dominate.

Should be a good start to the day of HotS. Only has to face MC, Suppy and ViBE today. MC isn't top-tier in HotS yet, Suppy should fall to buffed Polt, and ViBE is the same as Suppy.
