Comes back in Assembly 2012 to 3-1 Lucky and 4-1 Stephano at a time where Stephano looked incredibly good against Terran, and Lucky was a decent Code S Zerg. Does bad in LSC2? Takes third in IPL5, possibly the tournament with the greatest assembling of SC2 talent ever seen since GSL S4. Polt just makes SC2 entertaining, and always gives Terran hope. He's someone who easily build storylines by himself. I fear a bit about NASL tho. Rcently tweeted he's really tired after all these events in a row ( MLG, LSC2, IPL5 ), and I guess IPL5 did drain a lot from him.

With the new patch he should be able to beat Golden, and then he can beat either Hero/Taeja in the semifinals.

I think he will do just fine, and I'm not saying this because I'm a delusional Polt fanboy who thinks he is invincible. Golden should be no trouble, and Polt can defeat HerO and TaeJa any day if he continues to play like he did at IPL. Only players he should really look out for is HyuN and viOLet. Expecting a finish in the finals at least for Polt.

He should beat Golden, the poor guy just lost his team and will still be a bit shaken but HerO/TaeJa will be much harder. I think HerO's current PvT might be a bit too strong (4-0ing TaeJa speaks for itself) and against TaeJa it should be pretty even. If he makes it to the finals it will be probably HyuN (maybe viOLet) which would be the insane hard part. Both are really good at ZvT and he just lost to viOLet at IPL5 so he won't be too confident. I don't think staying for a few day in the US will hurt him, maybe it even will benefit him because he avoids jetlag etc...

TaeJa is no longer in his summer buff period, he looks far more vulnerable, and if Polt were to face him, a Bo7 probably will end up wearing down TaeJa's wrists. Golden hasn't been too special recently, and neither has SortOf. Obviously HyuN and viOLet are the biggest threats to Polt, so I specially left them out.

Yeah, his TvP is really good but HerO just rarely loses this match-up (ok, he also rarely plays it at tournaments...), I think it would be close but I would give HerO slightly the edge (somehow I feel it is currently his best match-up, he seems to can do anything, cheese, defend cheese macro, timings etc). TaeJa on the other hand did not look so convincing in his games vs ThorZain at Dreamhack. Polt however just beat Yoda and Bomber at IPL5 so I would give him a small edge (although his TvT always looks a bit on-off, sometimes he plays godly sometimes pretty terrible). But I think we can all agree that HyuN/viOLet would be the toughest challenge. But honestly, with so many favorite players at NASL, I am just hoping for a good set of games that go the full distance. Maybe that is why I see all the match-ups so close.
