Ah well, at least MVP is going to fall in the finals. Polt was never the strongest team league player, so it was a little inevitable that Polt wouldn't have some insane streak. At least this frees Polt more time for individual leagues where he really excels at.

If he had made the finals, he probably would have had to pull out of NASL.

He has Naniwa and then either Arthur/Golden in the Ro8 if he makes it. MMA/Taeja/Hero/finale would be waiting in the semifinals, but Polt has shown he can beat all four of those guys.

Probably better TSL lost last night for Hyun/Polt's sake. Now Polt just needs to focus on beating Naniwa.

Polt's bracket has Seed/Daisuki, ByuN/Shine, MC/CatZ and Symbol/Ret. Expecting the winner of Symbol/Seed to face Polt (probably Seed), and for Polt to defeat Seed to face the winner of TaeJa vs Creator. Polt can defeat any of those two, so I expect Polt to make a strong showing in IPL5.

Honestly judging from the quality of the players at DH, Polt would have likely taken first really. Only HerO would have really threatened Polt, and HerO wasn't even that scary (defeating only foreigners until the finals is fairly simple for a top-tier Korean). Even Nerchio, the player I expected to challenge Polt just crumpled once he faced TaeJa, and Polt is just as good, if not better than TaeJa right now. Sad he had to miss the opportunity for a relatively easy $37,363, considering that TSL didn't even make it to the finals of GSTL (but that would conflict with NASL).

IGN changed the IPL brackets again, and this time, Polt's bracket is: DRG/TubbyTheFat, ByuN/Illusion, Squirtle/CatZ, YoDa/Ret. Fairly easy one, but DRG and YoDa might be troublesome, but Polt has it in him to defeat these guys.

I do love Polt, but HerO played some of the best Starcraft I've seen him play at Dreamhack. Even his immortal allins were far, far crisper in execution than when he failed with them in the GSL. I don't think it's fair to say that Polt would have won the tournament, on either player. I mean Stephano has a really good record against HerO, but bombed out pretty early. HerO went 22-2 in sets, which is incredibly dominant, even against mid-tier players it's impressive.

They are my favourite players of their respective races, so please don't think I'm claiming HerO > Polt.

Polt gets a walkover against NaNiwa in NASL. Sad, I wanted to see some excellent TvP between the two.
Faces Golden for Ro8, and with Polt's TvZ, and the map pool, this will be difficult...

Polt takes out Yoda and faces Creator tomorrow in the winner's Ro8.

Great TvT's. His macro wasn't at it's best, but his decision making and micro beat a more clean Yoda. Came back in an insane second game when it looked like he was dead.

At the time, he was a top 5 Terran, so I was utterly amazed and in awe. Fortunately, after some months, it looks like he's climbing back up to the top level. Great game 2 against Yoda, amazingly even for so long, but Polt was somehow able to grasp the victory (I guess with a faster fourth and good engagements at the end?). Go Polt!!!

Polt's TvT and TvP look really strong, too bad his TvZ can be lacking usually, especially against Leenock. Still has a chance, but it is going to be an uphill battle from the start.

Leenock looked mega sloppy vs. TheStC, and Polt has his three Zerg teammates to help him if need be before the match. I still say Leenock is favored, but Polt has a good chance if he plays well.

Polt lost the first game to Leenock. It was pretty stupid.

Polt sees roach rush coming.
Polt holds off roach rush.
Polt lands his double orbitals with big eco lead.
Leenock goes all-in again with 20 more roaches.
Polt thinks Leenock is going to just try and get up a third, but guesses wrong.
Leenock's initial roach force gets pulled to an empty base by Polt.
Polt sieges a tank and waits with his army to contain the roaches, but Leenock had burrowed them.
Leenock's roaches flood into Polt's main and he's dead.

Hopefully he can take the next two, but it'll be highly difficult against Leenock.
