It's not a typical ddos attack, he's using their battle.net account and profile to DC them not their IP address. There's no way for someone to get the IP of stephano's opponents from watching his stream.

but how to DC specific bnet accounts? maybe he gets the IP via ingame-chat. so i mean the attacker tries to chat with the bnet-accounts of stephano's opponents and then he gets the IP and then ddos?

I don't know the details I just know It should be impossible for someone to get your IP through playing sc2 on the official bnet servers, unless blizzard fucked something up.
