Stephano: I saw you loosed to naama in a recent cup Nerchio: I saw Beastyqt beat you in a recent CW. Stephano: I didn't give a shit... no money :p
He's a professionnal gamer and has a salary but he acts like a child (or a slighty autistic person). I'm stil a fan but a pissed off fan :'(
How can he not show up for an EG Cup match when he's staying at the EG lair? Lol, they should have tracked him down at the pool or wherever he was chilling and made him play.
Also even when there's money on the line it's often not clear that he gives a shit. He, according to his own account, was hungover for MLG on the final day of the tournament where there was a 10K difference between 1st and 3rd. If Stephano were most people, I would have thought he was simply making excuses, but Stephano's level of commitment seems to vary quite a bit even when there's money on the line.

Stephano autistic? Wow, i never thought i'd see that in my life...he's probably the most intelligent and subtle person in the entire community(pro gamers).
He's probably the most intelligent and subtle person in the entire community? You are beyond stupid.
Why do you think guys like Naniwa, Stephano, even Elky are so good and so... weird ? They got a kind of slight autism wich makes them weird and good as fuck... This doesn't handicap them in their life that much but they have a strenge social attitude

Who said that Stephano is weird? He may be a jerk who plays the "I don't give a fuck" game, but he's certainly not autistic. I don't see anyone on the proscene who is as "sociable" as Stephano: great interviews, conformtable on stage, overall a funny guy, likes to party hard(which is pretty normal considering his age)...

Being smart =/= autism. All geniuses act 'weird' compared to normal people.

That's what I don't understand. The EG casters and producers of the show, would have known exactly where Stephano was during his scheduled match. While it is not their responsibility to ensure Stephano makes this appointment, it IS in their interests to remind him about it as it provides them with content to cast.
It might be possible the Stephano was reluctant to play Alicia as he is playing him next weekend at MLG but even so he could play out some wacky strategy or inform his team to switch him up or field another player instead.

If I were a big team I would try to offer him a huge contract just because he's the n°1 foreigner atm, but I would put in the contract an obligation not to forfeit (depending on the tournament, there is a way to make a clever rule like this).
Would be fun if Millenium get to keep him just because no other team want to deal with all this stuff.
I don't think Stephano is autistic. He speaks 3 languages fluently and does not seem shy when being interviewed on stage. Autism usually manifests itself as someone who is socially awkward. I think Stephano does not come across like that. Maybe sometimes brusque and dismissive, but often with a sense of humour.

Some people overestimate the importance the importance of money for Stephano. Not that I pretend to know everything about the player but he doesn't strike me as the over-achieving type and I'm having a hard time imagining Stephano making all his decisions based on money. For someone who likes to party that would be quite out of character.

I am not sure that is likely though. Naniwa is famously difficult for his team management to get along with but still remains in demand because he is talented. Stephano is extremely popular and so gives great exposure to his team and sponsors in numerous big tournaments. Just like talented sportsmen can get away with acting up, their talent keeps them in demand.
Stephano is incredibly good for Millenium's profile as a team. And so good for his team's Sponsors. Millenium have other players who act more committed and reliable but yet don't deliver the results. So who is actually providing the Return on Investment to the team and sponsors? The committed players who cannot win or the somewhat unreliable player who mentions his team and sponsors at MLG, Red Bull and IPL in front of a combined 100,000 people? I am not bashing Millenium players as every team has players who don't seem to deliver results consistently, if at all.
I am not condoning his lack of responsibility but merely explaining that his talent and profile makes him very valuable to any team. Stephano is SO consistent in winning compared to every other foreigner and this is reflected in his tournament winnings that dwarf every other foreigners, despite being a pro much less time than many.

Naniwa has an autistic aura about him, so I can see your point on that one, but how in the world can you say Stephano is autistic? He's more of your typical indifferent badboy, lol. As for Elky, I don't even know who that is.

The more money you have the more you can party, no? The more you have saved up to meet your needs, the more time you can spend partying or doing whatever you want instead of "working."

To personaly know Elky, he his far from anything like autistic. he has always play on a weird image, his hair style was a way to make him unique, he understood PR and "star system" before lot of other "pro".
I dont know personnaly Stephano, but i imagine theire is a part of PR in his behavior. When pple say he his bad at PR, i think they dont really understand what PR his. Making people talk about you is the base of anything PR related. Personnaly i think stephano is one of the Best at PR, with maybe Idra and Naniwa (even if it's maybe less "under control" for naniwa).
For them it's more obvious, they win or loose, but pple talk about them, so they get coverage from Esport media and show their sponsor.
The only SC2 player that you can say is a little autistic may be Naniwa. It's obvious that he is insecure in front of people.

I think you are talking nonsense! Go take a swim in the Mediterranean Sea and eat some delicious Aïoli with whatever you like!

I dont matter infact I dont think Stephano should play any online games anymore. He should just focus 100% on lans
