If you look a bit closer at Parting 48% win ratio vZ, you'll see that he only recently faced Nestea, DRG, Leenock and Violet. Doing ~50% vs them is not bad...

Parting will only win if his 2base immortal pushes work, he has no chance against stephano late game.

the only toss who can take a match from stephano is mc.

I honestly don't think Hero can beat stephano, but Squirtle on the other hand is even a bigger threat than MC is, in my opinion of course.

when he was in korea staphano practiced with hero and went like 1-10. Then he took a map at the GSL tourney. I honnestly think hero would be favored in a match against steph.

Hero did beat Stephano a few weeks ago in a EG Master Cup match. And IMO, Stephano is favored over any and every protoss if he's in his top form.

I agree. Also he has no hope if Stephano scouts (or at least suspects he's going that build). Stephano has crushed that build on numerous occasions recently going with a fast carapace into melee upgrade style, with lots of lings and fast infestors. It basically hard counters Parting's build. Stephano is so crisp with his "11" minute Roach max that he can probably beat Parting doing that build as well, although Parting did execute his build and microed extremely well so it's certainly not impossible that he could take Stephano out with some well-executed two base all-ins. I just don't find it as likely as the opposite result.

No need to exaggerate. He went 0-4 against Hero in practice games after he stomped Hero at the Blizzard Cup. (Hero reached out to Stephano to play.) He recently lost 1-2 against Hero and the games were close. He also played those games after a 2 week vacation in which he didn't play at all. I'd actually favor him against Hero in an extended series. Hero has a very good late game zvp though so the games wouldn't be one-sided, either way.

Edit: Sorry, this was a response to AIOL!, not metalpanda.

Stephano is my favorite player so I'm not hating here...but hero did beat him in an IPL or EGMCL series in the last month. Though it seems when it comes to bigger tournaments Stephano has another gear when big money is on the line.

Squirtle is completely dependent on 2 base all-ins though...Immortals OP!

I am not going to underestimate Stephano's opponents. At Red Bull there are some of the very best Protoss players in the World. Parting is someone he has not faced previously. Parting is going to be tough but I am hoping that Stephano gets the win.

Parting doesn't have a great vZ record, but he knows the best builds and all-ins. Stephano has to be careful.

Do you mean Parting? Squirtle's multitasking and late game vz is the best in the world at the moment and was very good when he beat Stephano six straight times on the ladder when Stephano was in Korea.
