I'm a little bit disappointed that he lost to a baneling bust :/. I guess it's close to impossible to not drop a map as terran. Maybe now that he would have won as much titles as NesTea and that he keeps destroying him everytimes they met (I mean in official matches, of course in practice he wins a lot ) people would realize that NesTea isn't the best player in the world?

But what are you supposed to do against the strategy of so many ghosts?

NesTea doesn't play Terran = he automatically gets +10 extra credit points from Terran QQ'ers, which comprise 50+% (conservative estimate) of the Starcraft 2 populace. Doesn't matter if MVP wins 3 more GSL titles. Honestly, MVP and Bomber are just "Terrans" nowadays in the eyes of many - they just see the "Terran" first, and the player isn't even factored in unless he plays a super conservative macro game and doesn't push out until 200/200, and makes units from all three tech trees, with a majority of them being T3 units (read, battlecruisers). lol /(half)jk
The half-kidding aside, the LR thread was fucking painful to read. Anyways, great play from MVP today.

1. Don't throw away like 12+ ultras for nothing.
2. Don't go infestor/broodlord after seeing like 13+ ghosts on the field. Muta/ling/bling works well enough. Just because you got the tech, doesn't mean you have to use it.
3. Keep your expansions alive.
4. Deny the terran expansions. Remember July's 200/200 bust at MVP's natural? If he had done that at his 3rd (orbital btw) and killed it, the game would've looked completely different.

it's weird because i think Nestea is still the best player in the world but he just cannot beat MVP. i'm always like ??? when people talk about MVP beating Nestea like it surprised or amazed them. the guy was 7-1 vs Nestea and after this season 9-1. i guess people just forget what they don't want to remember easily. at the same time, it's hard to call MVP the best because he's lost a lot to people he shouldn't. if MVP can be more consistent TvP and do what he did this season again, he could overcome Nestea. the thing that seperates MVP and Nestea is MVP OWNS Nestea but Nestea OWNS the entire world with his worst match up (ZvT, mostly because of MVP) never going below 65% and with an 80%+ winrate in his good match ups

Sign me up he's going to win GSL again!

Sign me up please, such an intelligent player and has Nestea's number.

not even going to watch the finals. Top has absolutely no chance.

With the way TOP played today, I wouldn't say that. MVP is the heavy favorite for sure, but I'm willing to bet that this finals will be closer in score than recent ones (akin to perhaps the GSL WC finals, where MVP beat MKP 4-2).

on maps that favor marine tank over mech top shouldn't do too bad
mvp's mech outclasses top's though which is why mvp will win...4-1

I saw nothing from TOP's play yesterday that would indicate he has a chance against MVP unless his mech vs mech is significantly better than his mech vs bio. Great macro yes, but TOP's games suffered from tank lines spread too thin, exposed siege tanks, overextending attacks, missed timings and most noticeably poor multitasking. MVP will study TOP's games diligently and pick him apart.

Congrats on your 3rd GSL MVP! Now head for the first consecutives 2!

The TOP vs. Alive games in the group stages were interesting. The first game, TOP lost by not making ravens against Alive's marauder heavy composition, but won the second game with a nice tank contain and great defense against BFH. And honestly, other than the poor multi-tasking, I didn't really see those other problems in TOP's games; at the very least, overextending and missed timings have as much to do with Polt than anything else, since his sporadic tempo-based play forces those errors and missed opportunities.

MAn I REALLY wanted to see MVP vs Polt, 2 GSL champs. It's not that top isn't good but he isnt POLT. Top throws away games a lot doing simple mistakes. When Polt played keen, it was amazing so to see him play MVP would be the next best thing. edit: mvp wins 4-0, or 4-1

I don't normally join fanclubs, but put me in please. :D

Top has beastly TvT. Obviously so does MVP, but MVP has lost a TvT bo7 before, and that matchup can actually vastly swing in somebody's favour based on the smallest mistakes. If Top gets solid enough to draw games out he could take a game or two. I do think it's more likely that MVP will beast it though. I'm just not 100% certain of it.

Polt does a style that relies on mech to make a mistake. MVP almost never makes mistakes in TvT. This should be a pretty good finals for TvT lovers.

My lord, MVP looks invicible.
As long as its not a JulyZerg baneling bust, anyways.

nestea already has that, if youre counting consecutive code s and not the super tourney in-between

I was watching game 2 late last night. I was jaw dropping watching Banelings busts, Marine spreads, Mass Ultralisks, Mass Ghost Snipers, Mass Broodlings & Nukes on Gold Base. It was a very entertaining TvZ game. I really want to see more mech builds next week. MVP's mech vs Top's Mech willing just as entertaining. Also I want more cheeses in finals. I'm hoping to 4-0 just the same in GSL Jan. (BTW MVP only lost one game to Nestea semis just same with July. Only July did a baneling bust!)
