HSC is not GSL, you dont have weeks to prepare 1 or 2 matchup, vs know adversary.
i'm sure in a gsl format, he may not have lost some of the game he lost in HSC.

MVP is maybe the best player in gsl, but he rarely perform outside of this format. (rarely is exagerated hu ! just for haters).

nice to see him outside of his confort zone, but i think MC does a better job in PR. mvp didn't say 2 sentence in the cast. =(

To be fair, Mvp didn't play NEARLY as well as he would in the GSL. While he is invincible when he has time to plan, open cups like this seem to not be as much of a strong suit.

His play was really not that good at HSC, unfortunately. He didn't react as quickly or as intelligently and his risks did not seem as well calculated. His macro occasionally also seemed a bit off. I don't think this is indicative of what he truly is capable of, but I'm sure he will be back in form soon. Back in 2011 even without planning he could defeat anyone in straight up games but he's not in that form right now.

As a selfish fan I want to see him quit gaming for quite a few months and have treatment (not sure what the treatment would be or if it costs a lot of money) and then come back a healthy, stronger player. I respect that he's from a poor family and wants to win as much as possible, and probably will keep pushing on, but I think in this current form he'll probably drop out of the GSL altogether sooner rather than later.
He obviously knows best and I'm probably talking bullshit, but w/e, I just want him to be healthy and dominating again

Well...he won another GSL in this condition.

But I agree, if it's better for his health to quit gaming for a while, he should do it, but if it's possible for him to get treatment and still play Starcraft he should just continue to be so awesome.

What? Mvp won mlg Anaheim, WCG 2011, Blizzcon 2011 and these tournaments doesnt have the same format for GSL, MVP is just having a bad time because his injury, not because the tournament format damn.
