http://twitter.com/#!/dNaniwa/status/111399821063102464 It's nice to see the sentiment atleast vaguely acknowledged by a pro. It sometimes seems asymetric with regard to talks about the current state of the game. Hope you can get into a nice spot in Code A

He currently lives in the GOM house together with Sase, which was clearly stated by Sase during the swedish esportshow "Rakt på med Rakaka". You were also able to hear him in the background of Sase's mick. Five months ago, at the Stockholm Invitational (when Idra was whining even more about zerg than he is now, and when protosses were owning up the place) he stated in an interview with rakaka that it was way to early to determine if the game was unbalanced or not, because of the games short span of existance (also making som comparisons to balance in WC3). Appearantly now when protoss is losing he obviously has changed his mind.

When Idra was complaining about Protoss, Zerg still did well in GSL, it was only in foreign tournament Zerg did poorly which isn't really weird since the best foreign Zerg player who was active at the time was Idra and he isn't exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer (Sen wasn't playing foreign tournaments, Dimaga and Ret was inactive iirc and Nerchio/Stephano hadn't really started owning yet). You can't really say the same thing about the current state of Protoss since Protoss is doing poorly in the GSL now which is quite indicative of the highest level of play.

Naniwa isn't going to MLG Orlando as he will be using that time to squeeze in an extra few days of korea training before blizzcon. I understand the reasoning but it still makes me pretty sad since he's likely to lose the # 1 ranking point seed now. He'll still have enough points for providence but I enjoyed seeing him at the top of the ranking point list and I really thought Orlando would have been a good chance for him to break out after multiple months of being in Korea by then. It looks like even after him not attending Orlando, he'll still hold the number one seed if Idra has a bad competition. He'll be top three seed no matter what going into Providence though. ^^

It's a definite fact that protoss is in the pits _now_ tho, so he could just be expressing sadness. As a protoss player, I assure you that protoss performance nowadays is highly disheartening if nothing else ![]()
