Dude has sickkkk marine control vs zerg. Makes it look imba how he snipes all the banelings so fast with his OSU training. Kawaii can counter banelings with just marines. Totally baller.
Xeris showed the tvz of him playing zelniq where he went something crazy like 10 rax with 8 reactors and all making marines vs blings, lings, muta, infester.

Aww I always use your stream as background entertainment/music (Nana Mizuki <3) when I do hw hehe. But yeah I watched you all kill Empire today. Awesome job!
I LOVE KAWAII RICE, i even played on his stream over the beta, sign me up plz. BTW i went mothership vs KawaiiRice when he offed raced to zerg, but only cuz the stream asked me too.
I just wanted to write this message out, that while I support Kawaiirice, I have chosen to unsub from his Stream. Not because his attitude as a player, but the attitudes of his Mod staff, of which there are entirely too many.
I have given Kawaii my condolences, however I feel that if nothing is changed, if things stay the same, then more people will have experiences as mine. The difference between me and the average viewer is that they may not be vocal as I am in the face of intolerant authorities. If you cannot handle the burdens of leadership, step down. You are in no position to handle others maturity if you cannot be mature yourselves.
This started as Kawaiirice faced a Zerg player and harassed his base with Tanks, and Marines. After fighting off waves of Mutalisks I responded in chat with "Kawaii had awesome micro there". The insuing **** storm reached biblical proportions as nearly 10 moderators (For a channel of only 300 people, only 20 of which actually spoke) began to accuse me of trolling, and saying that I meant to say "macro". I explained the differences between these two concepts, that micro is the control of individual units on a small scale. They insisted it was the other way around, god only knows why.
Point was after a few minutes I was banned for "upsetting" the clearly ignorant mod staff who insisted constantly that I intended to use "macro". I elevated my issue directly to Kawaiirice, however even then the moderators refused to heed those who they volunteered for and continued to run his channel 'their way'. Afterwards any time where I spoke regarding any of Kawaii's games, I was emmediately banned, then emmediately unbanned. This effectively purges that person's posts while allowing them to talk. I was being silenced. They insisted that this "had to be a Justin.tv bug" even though I run my own stream (for an unrelated game), and have been using Justin.tv on a regular basis, and even follow other Streamers. Not only did this "bug" occur only while Kawaii was in the middle of a game, it stopped the moment he started looking at chat again. Also it doesn't happen in any other stream.
Call me annoying, however I am very vocal when my freedom to speak and enjoy my favorite casters are violated by those who are unprepared for the maturity to handle being a moderator. Who instead of handling situations they try to make them go away. I am sad this happened, because it has turned me off of visiting Kawaii's stream, and I worry that the continuing behavior will prevent Kawaiirice's stream from building a substantial fanbase. They say a happy customer tells a friend, and an unhappy customer tells everyone. I hope by posting this, this situation will be fixed so I can once again enjoy Kawaiirice's stream without feeling as though I have to walk on eggshells around hyper-sensitive children.

Aren't you being a little hyper-sensitive yourself about this? It does sound like the mods were trolling you a bit, but it also sounds like you did little to help the situation :/

I explained the differences, and I even posted links to the Team Liquid Wiki, Definitions website so they could understand these differences. However I find that trolling of any kind is the height of childish immaturity. It reflects terribly on the moderation staff that they have to resort to such adolescent comments. I do not troll, and I expect others to do the same. That is just basic human decency. However I have seen comments like mine from friends and others on these forums. So I chose to speak so harshly in order to have this issue addressed.
The more comfortable it is for people in a progamer's stream, the more they will become fans, and tell other people, and generate a more fan base. This is why progamers with the largest fan bases are often the best to their fans. If the stream is unfriendly than people will not feel welcome, and they will move elsewhere.

Hey Nitzleplick,
I'm glad you decided to register on TL to post your concerns but I would recommend to post it in the specific stream thread and not in the Fan Club as this is a stream issue. You can find that here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=102276
I am The_Ursadon on Justin.tv and have been a moderator for Kawaii's stream for more or less two years now. As you know, I was online tonight during this "occurrence".
I feel like this issue has been blown far out of proportion. So I would like to break down what happened tonight into a few pieces to hopefully clarify what happened.
I think you must first remember that it is a stream chat. As such the moderation staff was chosen by Kawaii himself. Every moderator on tonight (Exezelot, Jesushooves, Socratics101, TheKot myself etc.) have been regular viewers of Kawaii's stream since the BroodWar days. As you know there are quite a few moderators in this channel mainly because Kawaii was a regular streamer much longer than most streams that are on TeamLiquid today. Most of the time the number of moderators online at one time is usually no more than 2-4 . I would like to assure you that Kawaii has known each of his moderators for a long period of time unlike the trend that on many other featured streams of simply giving powers to those who ask for it. This being said, I hope you can at least understand the relationship of those you have called out to be ignorant and abusive.
To address the issue of the definitions of micro/macro, these definitions are very, very, very basic. I am certain that every single person responding to you tonight understood those definitions. I am also certain that every single person responding to you tonight understood that you knew the difference too. At first people were teasing you about a mixing these up for the fun of it but your defensive responses acted as instant troll-bait. And as you hopefully know, every single stream on TeamLiquid runs rampant with trolls just waiting beneath the surface. You continued to reply with VERY defensive responses, links to definitions of macro and micro, and even messaged Kawaii on a private message to ask to clarify the difference. I honestly hope for your sake that you realize that you contributed to your own downfall by baiting more responses. When you went to such extremes, I as a moderator began to question if you were a troll simply causing a commotion. The fact you have never posted on TeamLiquid before adds to such thoughts too. As you probably realized, this commotion caused the stream to fall stagnant for around 15 minutes just for Kawaii to respond to you. You yourself even noted that the stream dropped around 50 viewers while this occurred.
This occurred before the constant banning/unbanning issue. I am unable to comment about the banning and unbanning issue. I am not sure if such a bug exists of if a moderator was intentionally messing with you. If the second is the case, I can pretty much assure you that if that moderator is identified he will be unmodded immediately. We have barely had complaints about unfair suppressive banning or silencing through the thousands of unique viewers that have ever watched and chatted in the stream. I find it interesting that you believe you are the only one that has ever stood up against a fear. Either way, the stream chat is not part of TeamLiquid or any other community and is run other by the moderators and Kawaii which means they are the ones that set the rules for the chat. I can tell you that if anyone complains about music choice in an offensive manner is instantly banned as that is a rule that has long been set in the stream as has become a defining factor in his stream.
Trolling will always exist on the internet. It is very foolish to assume that will never occur to you. If you wish to have a discussion about the games in a stream chat you must prepare yourself for the occasional childish comment. Because of the ridiculous extreme you took this issue, there were a few moderators that joined in with the comments because you absolutely refused to accept our serious replies in attempting to help you. We are reasonable people that you drove away. Moderators are not required to beg you to allow them to help you. Exezelot even banned 2 regulars on the stream because they continued to make fun of macro/micro but you still played the suppressed and abused victim. This post is a continuation of that.
It is impossible to ban every single troll from the internet because there will be no one left. I find it hard to believe that you claim to have watched Kawaii's steam for a month or any stream for that matter because this occurs every single day. It is something you must learn to deal with.
You were ultimately banned for causing a commotion and ruining the viewer experience for others. This is a completely legitimate reason which runs along the same lines as trolls or offensive language.
Every single sentence you have typed has been overly dramatic and exaggerated. You have written a complaint focused solely on yourself under the guise of the concern of pushing away fans. To drag this into a Fan Club thread is rather disrespectful. Please post this in the stream thread for Kawaii's page or PM him directly to deal with this issue.
I hope you change your mind and return to watching Kawaii. If not then you are simply a viewer we are unable to satisfy but I hope you will continue to follow Kawaii throughout his performances.
Kawaii himself will make the ultimate decision in the case.

feeling as though I have to walk on eggshells around hyper-sensitive children.
It was a joke from a single viewer, and as it was a positive atmosphere to begin with, others joined in the friendly banter. The mods assured you that it happens to everyone and there was no harm meant. As the issue had seemed to be resolved you decided to dog on the subject of your dissatisfaction until you were purged.
...and yet now you come to his fanclub page rather than his stream thread with complaints about his moderators. I believe it is you who should learn to be more tolerant as you seem to hold your level of maturity in high regard.
I was unsure of whether this or the other thread was the proper location to post this, as you noted, this may be my first time posting on Team Liquid however I have never had a problem with the community until now. Keep in mind that not registering does not prevent me from using Team Liquid's services, or using it's links to watch Streams. Making the mistake that I am new undercuts the seriousness of the issue.
Also, from the moment I made the statement which in fact was complimenting Kawaii, I was immediately trolled. Had anyone said "Yea, that was awesome" the conversation would have ended there, and no argument ever would have happened. The instigator of this situation was those who trolled, which the Mods did not silence.
After this situation ended and I said "Okay, stop trolling me and i'll shut up" I dropped it, and for a good 5 minutes I said nothing, and watched while the entire channel continued to beat that dead horse over and over for half an hour. Then several games after the initial argument, I once again made a comment on Kawaii's TvT match, he could not read it ofcourse but we started discussing Marines vs. Battle Cruisers. It was then the purging fiasco began. It can't have been a bug because it effected only myself and occurred nowhere else. However mind you, I was being entirely on-topic and it was not me who was trolling.
I messaged Kawaii on Justin.tv which while amusing to you, I did so because I was banned at the time. I do not have Kawaii's Skype, any IMs or his Email, this information isn't public. So when I was banned for trying to explain the situation, which I found it vastly unfair. I wanted to resolve the issue like an adult, with the owner of the Stream, because the Mod staff absolutely refused to moderate, and in many cases joined in on the trolling. This is not as you put it "begging to help you". Your stance that I had it coming because someone "could" troll it is a bit silly. This is not playing the victim, this is me wanting to watch a streamer I enjoy. Act like a geek when he does cool things, and chat with other fans.
I will not go where the environment is inhospitable. In this case you are not the solution, you are part of the problem. By making a statement that every TL stream is a bed of trolls, you are validating their behavior as being okay. As I said in channel there are ways to moderate without ever banning a single person unless they absolutely, absolutely deserved it. Banning someone because you dislike them reflects poorly on yourself as a moderator.
In the end you are still a person, you are still just a guy. You volunteered to moderate Kawaii's stream at no cost to him, I do not deny this. However letting the community devolve as it has is never, ever the answer. That should be avoided at all costs, abusers should know such actions should not be tolerated. I moderate my own (unrelated gaming) stream in such a way, and I have never had to ban a single person in months, because they know it is not okay to troll. They know also know they can be honest without fearing trolls and this leads to a much nicer, happier, funner community to be in. Not one where people are in a pissing contest to make each other mad. Nothing good has ever come from trolling behavior.
Not that I was there that night -- haven't been on the stream in a while -- but being a KR stream regular, I gotta throw in that, though usually a fine group of dudes, the moderators can sometimes be pretty immature. He might be spending a lot of time on such a simple issue, but it sounds realistic.
Sorry, guys, love ya, but gotta call it how I've seen it.

Dunno what's up with my mods, from my understanding there's a mod screwing with you for no other reason than that you're defensive or something but nobody is admitting to it -_-
I'll unban you when I get home and I guess I'll remove most of the mods that aren't in my skype chat. I've been noticing an oddity where half the stream chat ends up being mods only sometimes so you may have a point. There really isn't a need for all the mods at any time these days anyway.

Sign me up! Been watching his stream the past week as he streams just when I wake up, and I have to say that I really like his play and his skype conversations are quite amusing aswell. Really cool guy it seems!
Hey buddy, I've been following you since I got into SC2 during the beta. I know you've had a couple tough losses in some tourneys lately, but please don't take it too hard man. You're a great player, I think you're just having a run of bad luck.
In a game where people always try to come up with excuses and claim imbalance when they lose, you were awesome enough to say something like that when you lost in the EG masters cup. I have a new found respect for you. I know you'll keep training hard and come back stronger than ever.
I have to admit, did not expect Kawaii to pull of the win against Hwangsin, especially after falling 0-1. Grats on proving me wrong, now finish off goswser!
heartbreaking loss vs Tyler. He lost the first game when he shouldn't have, then he saw the 6 gate in game 3 coming from Tyler and still lost T_T. I feel like TvP is easily his weakest matchup.
what happend? losing a tvp or tvt ok, but tvz ( from what i´ve saw ur best mu ).. and then against spanishiwa oo? Hope u will crush anyone and show them koreans what a good T looks like

he lost a tvz because it was spanishiwa. his style is kinda hard to practice against =/ but no worries, Kawaii will still make championship bracket easy.
In "light" of Kawaii's move to a new team, I scraped together this pic from the placeholder pic/logo on his team's homepage-- http://www.lightesports.com
This was for his facebook page (which I manage, http://www.facebook.com/KawaiiRice ) and I figured I'd share it here as well just so we have something to replace all those fnatic logo-fied pics of Kawaii. :p

Antiga Shipyard, cross spawns Cloakshee opening by Kawaiirice, gets several SCV kills. Pushes with marine tank banshee + medivac elevator. Kawaii eventually overwhelms asd with economy and takes game 1 Kawaii 1 - 0 asd
Daybreak 14cc From kawaii vs rax CC (i think) from asd, who then moves into cloak banshees. Kawaii deflects the banshees losing maximum 5 scv/marine and both players take their third at relatively the same time. asd stops banshee production and moves into a marine heavy marine/tank/medivac army, where Kawaiirice goes tank heavy. asd attempts to take a faster 4th at the far corner base but is quickly denied by marines on standby in the location. Both Players take the center half-expo and begin positioning tanks. Kawaii moves forward to take the south-center base and takes an aggressive position, but misreads asd's army total and attacks into a heavy tank line, and Kawaii loses his 40 supply lead and is now about even. Kawaii 'ahead' based on position, but asd moves his army with attacks toward kawaiis newly planted fifth in the far top left base. asd takes his fifth and adds a few vikings to stop kawaii from encroaching on his half expo, and medivac production all but stops from kawaiirice. asd also takes the top-center base and begins mining. Kawaii quickly contains any further pushing with tanks set up at the top left base and half center base. asd makes a giant push into the bottom-center base and catches Kawaii in a bad position, and asd's tanks quickly clean up Kawaii's trapped marines. In response, Kawaii attacks asd's top-center base. asd begins using nukes from his main to attack the economy of Kawaiis topcenter base, while using his position in the bottom center to begin ferrying army into Kawaiis main. The first drop is easily cleared but asd follows up with 5 medivacs and takes a huge chunk of production. Kawaii cannot produce and is having difficulty mining with the nuke harass going on, and taps out. Kawaii 1 - 1 asd
Metalopolis - close air positions. asd opens with a fast expand, while Kawaiirice, probably tired, attacks with a marine/tank/banshee/6scv attack but missed his timing by seconds allowing asd to complete his siege mode research. Knowing he is behind, kawaii attempts twice more to attack with marine tank scv, and makes great trades, but asd is now on 2 operational bases and kawaii cannot continue to attack. Kawaii 1 - 2 asd
Day[9] in daily #410, approx 11:30 in: "Who's happy now? I gaurantee it is at least one of these players. Unless they're kawaiirice. I have never seen him be happy in game ever". See Kawaii? You've got a signature style: serious 'n somber!

A happy/satisfied KawaiiRice would mean the end of the world as we know it. Literally.
Although he had the Korean line up to get through, I'm still proud he was 1 of the foreign Terrans to get the farthest in the tournament. Good job, shows that he's improving and still has more potential in him.

Not just 1 of the foregin Terrans to get the farthest in the tournament... Kawaii was THE LAST AMERICAN HOPE in the tournament.

I know exactly the song that'll fit but fuck me I forgot its name. Quite sure it's from one of the 2 newest albums...hm.
Kawaii had a tough run, but his mentality coming out of MLG Summer Championship seems a looooot better than last year. He's now fixed his throwing-away of leads and his mentality -- just gotta work on that sleep schedule ;D
Watching you play TvP was such a cool experience for me as I studied and did my best to literally copy everything you did in the matchup. It was just so satisfying to crush Protoss players left and right with ease, and I owed it all to you.
It was so refreshing to see your "powering" style in SC2. It reminded me a lot of a sledgehammer
