Hey, he gives me arrythmias too but I will never ever not be a fan or ask to be removed from this club. In terms of love, I'd say MKP love is like teenage hormonal love with excessive highs and lows. Bad for the elderly heart but oh so exciting!
Looks like I missed the squabble about MKP being a top tier terran or not. Lol. Personally, I think being really good at what one does is not a switch. It's not something you can turn on and off. It's either you've got IT or you don't, and I do firmly believe MKP's got it.
Then there's mindset. Mettle. Uh... clutch factor? He used to have it in droves but the Kong line curse was a big blow to his self esteem. Which of course also affected decision making. But he will overcome this! He still has the best game sense out there.
The things I stated are all subjective. But since we're all fans here and have watched ALL (okay then, A LOT) of his past games I am assuming most agree. With regards to things we can measure and see like hard working and practice. We've heard MKP practices hard. He has to master Mech and whatever bo or trend (plus its counter) is out there in order to make it back. It's only a matter of time.
And last but not the least. Evidence. He has proven himself. Several times. Oh sure, he hasn't gotten GSL gold yet but he has shown, several times, that he can win.
I'm not an MMA, Bomber, or Ryung hater. But what MKP has that they don't have (yet!!!) is the last one. Track record. So if you ask me who are the top tier Terrans in my book. MVP is all the way on top by his lonesome. Then there's MKP. (I'm a fan ok? Deal with it.) Then third would be the likes of Nada, SC, Top and the Emperor. I think MMA's getting there too although Poltimus is in his way. Polt is there.
The thing is, they're all very good Terrans but MKP fires up the old heart like no other. Yeah. Like arrythmias.

I've been a fan since his FoxeR days, but I didn't know you had to sign up...sign me up eh?
Oh yeah, great pics!

What makes me a MKP fan isn't his sick control or the fact that he won pretty good games alone, it's also his heartbreaking personality and all the nerd chills he gives me every time he's playing. Sign me up please, he took a bit of my nerd heart the first time i saw him play.

Great write-up! Thanks... I kanda feel like this too. I mean, I really enjoy watching the likes of MMA or Nestea play, but when MKP plays, I'm all giddy and nervous ^^
It is both his games, his micro, his "bm" and personality that won me as a fan since GSL Open 2. Seeing him walk up the stage all shy, followed by his zergling imitation or a heartily laugh gets me smiling - and no homo ^^ (even though my gf asked me if I was in love with this guy )
His Code A run has been sloppy, but he'll get there. He owns online events, offline events will follow soon. But it's true, that the curse of the Kong line got to him, it must be hard knowing you're good and not being able to seal the deal. It's in his head, and he'll need to break it. Maybe he should start by changing his Twitter account description
Anyway, I'm a fan as well, whether he plays brilliantly or sloppily.
EDIT: On a side note, cheer for F.United next week! If they win against oGs, Prime goes on to the playoffs!

Marineking who cares if Polt stole your name of Optimus. You can always be MetroidPrime if you win code A!

Oh...damn..I've not been very active in this fanclub recently, despite my name being first on the list.
I am still however, devout supporter of MKP. I've noticed lot of fans losing faith in MKP nowdays. Shame on fans who continue to move from player from player depending on their performance.
I support MKP not because I think he's the best terran out there, but because he has the potential to become the best. He's also a type of player that you really sympathize and make you want to cheer for him.
Long live MKP and god bless his sister!

As expected MarineKing kinda raped Leenock, too bad I missed the games :/. People kept shitting on him despite his countless code A wins against supposedly good opponents, and he is still winning :D. I really hope that F;United can win against oGs, but it'll be so hard :s

Im so excited for tomorrows gamesss :| gogogo marineking fighting PLZ WIN! I believe in you!

MKP I really feel for you, another finals lost, hope you can make it through Up & Downs! Fighting!

The up and downs are going to be really tough, but i think MKP has what it takes

Damn, marineking, forever silver T_T, well I can only hope MKP can recover from this curse for the future.

He will always be no 1 in my heart! I remember when i was a plat noob (well, i still am a noob, only a master one) and he inspired me to do those crazy marine bunker pushes vs zerg, proxy racks play and so on, changing my style from turtle to agressive. It's a shame he lost this finals AGAIN, but his comeback from 1-3 was impressive, and he had the last game in his pocket, the only thing that stood between him and code S was the return path of his tanks.

He played it safe in order to not die but he got screwed by the map. Maybe it's a good thing that this map was removed from ladder pool, hope tournaments will stop using it and use another one instead (some iCCup map?). Anyways it's sad for him but as long as he keep being motivated and do not despair he can go through up&down and then win code S, "the real deal". The games were entertaining and he showed that he still got a monstruous TvT when mech play is not involved... and that's his worst match-up.

I didn't have the chance to actually watch the games as I'm still at work, but I hit F5 like crazy on the LR thread.... Pff, I really feel for that guy... from what I read he had game 7 won but Ganzi all-in'ed him? I was so psyched!
I hope he gets through up and down...
