Congrats! I was really scared he wasn't going to advance especially with that ling counter attack in game 3 but his play definitely looked the best I've seen in a while in TvZ. His splits looked nice in game 3 and his macro appeared to be on point. Such nice building positioning in game 2, too!

So happy for MKP! Plus bbyong just got destroyed in a TvT group so hopefully we will see MKP back where he belongs soon

I think mkp has a shot now with the hellbat nerf. Hellbats really hurt him in TvT because he's not a great hellbat dropper himself, but died a lot to hellbat drops. Standard TvT fits him better. Unless he dies to banshees, as mkp notoriously has poor cloaked banshee defense.

One thing that shocked me about his play today was that he actually built turrets up before the mutas popped in game 3. Now I have no idea if he scouted the spire as casters never said or if he just built them blindly, but either way that's a big step up for mkp in tvz! He always gets hurt bad by surprise mutas in TvZ! Hopefully, we see a new mkp in TvZ as he played great today and was a stark contrast to his games against fart fart last week.

Sigh....I called it. Mkp loses to cloaked banshees. I don't know why he has such bad cloaked banshee defense. He refuses to build turrets in time for them. This was his best shot to get back into code s. Going through up/down is going to be brutal.
