I dont normally read his chat cos speaking to my dog and my 3 year old makes more sense then most of the people in that chat room. im just not gonna watch and fund him anymore cos he should do something about the amount of trolls and haters even as im typing this, geoff has just said what a nice guy and a good player destiny is, but that his fans are retarded. He is deciding to not be a fan, not because of the people, but because of Destiny's tolerance of it. And he has a point. Destiny's stream chat is full of idiots and trolls who think constant trolling is funny. It really does reflect poorly on Steven for letting it happen and leaving people who want to talk to others watching the stream in a civil manner out in the dust.
The worst part is definitely that the people thinks it is funny at all, or that they are emulating Destiny at all, since Destiny is usually a little more creative and clever when he trolls and bms people and he is actually funny.
Not gonna stop watching or liking Destiny for it, but I can respect thatguy's decision to.

Why do people even care about the chat, who gives a shit about any persons chat room. You come to watch the stream. Half the time even if people aren't being retards there are so many people in the chat that it moves too fast to have a conversation of any worth. Just watch the stream and fuck the chat. I don't understand why the fuck people like to use the chat for people's streams other than the rare occasion the streamer is looking to it to speak with fans/answer questions.

Some people like to have a little more interaction than just staring at a screen. And you have never wanted to talk to someone about a game you are watching? I certainly have and its kinda the whole point of the chat, so that the viewers can discuss what they are watching. Like it or not his stream chat has his name on it, so anything that goes on in there reflects on Destiny.

It were any random chat room you're right about expecting too much, but it is Destiny's chat. He can control who gets banned and for what, so it obviously shows that he either A) likes the trolls and idiots (which I don't think is the case) or B) doesn't care enough to clean up the chat. Both don't look good.
Though it might be A since he does, on occasion, call his viewers to action, which I imagine the chat does the bulk of the work.
And just to put this out there I don't really care what happens in chat, I just care that people can't seem to understand why someone would and that those people who don't care lash out at the people who do care. I'm still a huge Destiny fan regardless, and I hope success and a million billion ESPORTS dollars for him.

He does ban people often, but people just make new accounts. Not much you can do about it.

These are all streams where I've held plently of good conversation with the viewers. I can completely understand what ThatGuy89 is talking about because I feel the same way. I can go on plenty of other chats and actually be able to hold conversations and discussions with the other viewers; Sure it may be hard at times if the viewer count gets really high but not to say its impossible or even difficult.
I enjoy talking to other people and the streamer themselves while watching the streams. It makes it more interactive.
Destiny chat is trash because the half the mods are trolls and 80% of the chat are trolls. I see so much filth tossed around on a daily basis its not funny. I still watch Destiny's stream because I enjoy watching him play whatever game it may be but his chat is just awful.
