Dear HuK,

This stuff happens unfortunately, and I'm sorry that you lost this way. You still have a TON of fans, me included. You'll bounce back, obviously. We still love you!

We promise with a view to hope, but the reason to "accomplish" what we promised would be fear.

Hasuobs

that was so fucking gay.

Wait, wait. You 'hate' (that's a pretty irrational hatred by the way) one of the nicest and genuine players in SC2 for simply beating your favourite player? Can you offer some reasoning to this?

I was one of the 14% that voted for Hasu, because objectively looking at the match-up, being HuK's worst and knowing how damn consistent Hasu in all matchups, it only makes sense. If anything, just hate PvP itself, because that's just how the games go, Hasu knows from game-2 that HuK gets much stronger in longer games, so what's the obvious decision in order to play towards your strengths and exploit your opponents weaknesses? Try something risk with high reward if it pays off.

I would account this loss to just poor scouting, knowing it's PvP, HuK should have done a full scout of his base around 6-7 minutes (the common 4-gate timing). And again, I can't emphasise enough that Hasu isn't the sort of guy that should be shown any hatred at all, he's a competitor in every aspect, but also very well mannered.

Well played Hasu, and I expect you to do very well later on in the tournament.

Quit taking it all so seriously. I've never met Hasuobs, how could I -honestly- hate him? I think you are either taking me way too seriously or you are trying to play devils advocate.

also, HuK isn't my favorite player, just a favored player.

edit - Apologies for sound so stern, I'm not actually raging at anyone. I am annoyed that he lost that way though. Every second he didn't scout it I cringed harder.

Well, I took your comment in the context you presented it. You can never fully grasp somebodies intentions through text alone, so mis-interpretations are going to happen - such as you thinking I'm taking this (or your comment) very seriously, I couldn't really give a shit, I just thought it was completely unnecessary to make such a comment. Regardless of what you actual intentions were, it's poor perception on your part to not realise the implications of the way you phrased your comment would have on people reading it.

Anyway, that's all on that and i'm sure HuK will continue to perform well in future GSL's, to which I wish him the best of luck in those matches.

Huk, stay humble. You are who you are because of your fans, not because you are a good player.

I don't think TSL is a good representation of raw skill for these players, due to it being laggy cross-realm. It's also not a great benchmark to assess who is the better competitor, since it is played from the comfort of their own homes, on their own pc's.

Let me assure you it would be a completely different game if it was on LAN, where players will be feeling a lot more pressure, and there were no latency issues.

HuK is awesome, he got outplayed in the craziest most difficult match up in the game. Which happens to be his weakest, against a player who is really good at it. Hasuobs played really well, and HuK played great too. It was interesting to watch, especially game 2.

guys huk probably just didn't play up to his potential, as simple as that. latency might have had something to do with his control but surely he didn't play at the level he is capable of it. it's a bummer for the people rooting for him, but im sure it's a bigger bummer for huk.

At the end of the day he still is one of two foreigners in code S.

I think it might be time for a Canadian flavoured cheerful for the world championships.

i think that was what the OMG was in game 1, also you can tell that the lag was even effecting mc and his forcefeilds (at least it looked that way)

That combined with the fact that pvp is one of the most micro intensive match ups just goes to show how good of a job huk did =D

Why hate hasuobs for being better. Huk got outclassed there, hasu showed his better control, etc

wat? You watched game 2 right? Huk had a mistake in game one (pvp is not a forgiving match up) still did not look like he was outclassed..... Game three was a mistake that everyone makes and if it is made it is pretty much a free win. But huks control in game 2 (with cross server latency) was still better than hasus... Now i am not saying huk is bad but it wasn't an outclasses match. Pvp can go either way and it is sad to see huk go out in the first round. Then i remembered that i get to watch huk in CODE S =D so i calmed down

Why bring latency into this, Hasu is EU not US, both played on us server so no real advantage for either one. Game 1 huk got outclassed real bad, his 4gate was defended by 3gate + better control and then blink stalkers really outmicro'd him up

Game 3 he was just outsmarted, wasnt a "random mistake", hasu made him make that mistake by faking another probe and huk played into his hands. F

Anyway for someone that trains so hard and puts alot of hours living in korean team house i expected more here, especially against not so top tier EU protoss. I guess talent plays some part here :/
