yes i know thats pretty lame of me but hear this. Team liquid set him up with epic training grounds (ogs house) and they supported him through his lengthy slump without a second thought. Apparently as soon as he started actually benefiting from all the things team liquid gave him he just thought: "lol more cash cya liquid". They can say everything they want, write beautiful letters about how much they care about him and huk can write everything he wants about how thankful he is for everything and whatever, but it still doesnt change the fact that he used team liquid and then left for the money. really. fucking. lame.
I know this has no place in a fanclub but still..
So you turn your back on HuK because you felt he sold out on TL?
Have you ever thought that EG payed a buyout price for him? You say it as if TL didn't get nothing out of it.

This happens in every sport. The fault lies with TL, they could not secure the sponsors/cash to meet EG's offer. I am glad for Huk, and even though I am not an EG fan, I will continue to be a Huk fan.

common conjecture is about a 20k a year difference from team salary, before tournament winnings go into account.
Also, to the statement about Huk only leaving to EG for the ($). it's true. But how it came off was that if it wasn't significantly higher, as it seems to be from all accounts, hey wouldn't have gone. It's like choosing between getting a raise at your current job, which is all well and good, and getting a fullout promotion for another company. Like a a Manager to VP or something.

I know this has no place in a fanclub but still.. I think you misunderstand what happened a bit. Sure, he left Liquid for EG, despite Liquid raising him and stuff, but as they said in the article, this is a life changing offer for HuK, and will affect the rest of his life. At a certain point pride can get in the way of making the hard decisions that could greatly change his life. Sure, he could stay with Liquid forever (and believe me, a few days ago, I was so disappointed at the rumour of HuK potentially going to EG) or he could go with EG to change his life.
It's all well and good to speculate about what the absolute right thing to do is in terms of loyalty, finances and other things, but until you're in HuK's situation for yourself, I don't think you can really say whether this was "really. fucking. lame" or him making a very hard decision that in the end, might be the best thing for him.
Still a HuK fan, Liquid and HuK (and EG :D) fighting!

HuK's contract was almost up. TL didn't get squat except for EG buying out the remainder of his contract with Liquid.

It doesn't matter what team he is in, Huk is still gonna be HuK. I wish him best of luck in EG!!!

This is a sad time for TL on TL.net obviously, so the outpouring of emotion is to be expected; this whole 'everyone should go get Apple to sponsor them and pay their players six figures' argument that comes from the EG fan base is really baffling though. There was no 'fault' on anyone's part here.

There was no 'fault' on anyone's part here. I am not a part of the EG fan base by any means lol. All I am saying is if TL wants to hold on to their top players they need to be able to offer them competitive salaries, that requires the cash and sponsors to do so. They did not have that in this case from all public information presented. You can't blame Huk or EG for that.

People that say he's selling out or saying that they can't cheer for him are just a bunch of selfish retards. None of you could ever say that you wouldn't do the same. I don't think you comprehend the oppritunity it is for him.
I <3 EGHuK

I'll still be a HuK fan no matter what team he plays for. Sure I'm a bit sad that he is no longer with TL, but when you get an opportunity that should not be passed on you take it. EGHuK fighting =D

If they benefit, good for them. It's not like I hate them and want to make sure none of my actions could possibly benefit them in any way.

I hope idra doesn't corrupt huk with his anti social attitude. Seriously, I feel like a parent, concerned about his darling child who is hanging out with the bad kids down the street.
Side note: this is like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader combining forces.

^ Yup and together they destroyed the Sith So all will end well. It will take time to get used to HuK switching teams, but at the end of the day, HuK is still HuK and will continue to be himself no matter what. I think in situations like these are when the players need the support of their fans the most, whether you stick by the player you always loved and supported or look down on him for making a decision he felt was right for his future.

sad to see that you are leaving TL but still.... Huk fighting forever!!!!... <3

Huk, I'm pretty sure I'm always gonna <3 you long tiem. I can't say I like the idea of you being in EG though, and I hope, really I do, that you find success in this path. Also, gj in GSL XD

I understand this is a bit of an overstatement, however hopefully this contract will let Huk relax and play with his full potential, without too many material thoughts.
