No just no. think about it. You know why Idra's PvZ versus good toss is so bad? Practice partners aren't up to par with real competition. Look at who he loses to the most(nonforeign/foreign): Mana, Naniwa, Huk, Sase, and MC. His protoss practice partners are incontrol and Axlav. One never made it past open brackets and the other just been losing left and right and probably dropping from seed soon.(NA toss is bad in general, like our top protoss is litterally Incontrol, minigun, and Tyler) If you make Idra practice 8 hours a day against korean toss players like genius, San, Yoda. He will dominate every European/NA toss with easy(just like how medicore code A zergs can easy 2-0ed Naniwa and Sase). Right now the only real practice Idra can get is from these tournies where korean players are shipped overseas. Why would he miss those chances.

EG would hardly make a big announcement drama over someone quitting or retiring.

I believe Idra said he would go to MLG over IEM so that is probably why he dropped out. If I am wrong then nvm but I remember on inside the game there was some tournament that I believe idra qualified for but it was the same weekend as MLG.

IEM @ Gamescon is this coming weekend, IEM New York is the one that coincides with MLG Raleigh. But yeah he pulled out of IEM Gamescon.

You're thinking of IEM New York and MLG Orlando. Idra decided to withdrawal from IEM Cologne. And by the way, I wouldn't be surprised if Idra plays at IEM New York. He will have enough points to qualify for the MLG Championship; the prize pool for IEM is larger (although not significantly larger) and that a good placement at IEM would qualify him for the World Series. P.S. Actually, a bad showing at MLG Raleigh might make his top 4 spot unsecure, so Idra might need to go to Orlando as well.
