This is a fan club about idra, nobody is forcing you to read the spoilers.
Let poeple who want to know, support Idra!

Yeah because someone can tell the spoiler is about a completely unrelated tournament before opening it..

Should I simply not open spoilers anywhere on Team Liquid in order to avoid being spoilered for random future events?
Cheer for Idra when the games are being broadcast, please. Or do you only enjoy watching matches in which he wins?

Isn't that exactly what the purpose of the spoiler tag is? To stop those who don't want to be spoiled... from being spoiled?
And there's no for sure that it was a spoiler or not, it could be practice games. But I gave the warning, and used the tag.

I have to agree with motbob - let's not ruin the excitement of tournaments before they've been broadcasted. People that want to match history stalk IdrA can do it by themselves, they should just keep the results to themselves so tomorrow we can all feel the tension of IdrA playing his first games in the IPL
|
Yeah, this whole match history thing shouldn't be recorded for customs. It really undermines the hype of the IPL tourney if we know exactly what the results are.
Can we at least have spoilers labeled with what tourney/event it refers to? Then if we know it's for a future tourney, we know to avoid that spoiler.
|
The issue is that the information is already publicly available, really.
|
I like the information posted here. I don't have the time to watch every single game of IdrA's, or the time to trawl through his match history, so spoilers are nice for me. Don't open spoiler tabs unless you are prepared to risk being spoiled!
People get way too over the top about spoilers IMO
|
IMO gm league players should be able to hide their match history / build order times etc. It's their job, they make money with it, they should have the option to decide how much of their actions / training they want to show.
|
wow there's a sub reddit for idra! Its been pretty inactive but we should update when there is new fan art or lore.

The information posted here can become available after it is finished. Doing so beforehand has a much, much, much greater chance to spoil the tournament for large numbers of people. Don't want to be spoiled? Well instead of 5-10 people maybe knowing the outcome, now perhaps several hundred do. Causing the word to spread through chats, etc until it could be known by a huge portion of people who don't want to be spoiled.
I'm with bob, completely end it.

IPL already said they'll be using cloaked maps next time. It should be up to the tournaments to take steps to deal with it.
Anyway, + Show Spoiler +are they still playing? Stopping at 3-2 doesn't make much sense, unless they used some weird extended series rule, if that was indeed the score

I really like it since i dont have time to watch anything live any way, plus its all in spoilers which are open at your own risk type things. Its just nice for us that want it and no harm done to people that dont
Edit: also maybe just make them say what they are spoilering above the tag which i think would be reasonable

As a massive fan of both, I'm not sure I could handle how awesome that would be.
