I can't really imagine incontrol going over to huk and apologizing for IdrA's behaviour (if incontrol did that he is the worst team player in the world and should be kicked off EG). Wouldn't worry too much about what HuK said. It was probably just his emotions talking. No one on EG dislikes his behavior and the management has no problem with it either. And trust me we've seen worst from other communities, especially the fighting game community and what IdrA does is nothing compared to that.

@starlos: Use the TL upload function (on the top right when you're posting), it's much better than imageshack Like this:

Indeed, thank you !

I know he won't do it, but it would probably make himself instantly immortal, if he would show up for one of his next tourneys with that hat, cane, shirt. The thought of it is still quite amusing. :D I love this guy.. hope he'll stream today.
Edit: oh and ofc, the leather jacket. :D

LOL you guys are awesome.

where can i watch the idra vs huk? I believe I've seen the replays available, and I'd rather not watch just replays. I know some guy with like 4 videos total on his youtube account has, I believe, the 2nd series where Idra goes 2-0 (the videos have like 200 views so I'm guessing people haven't seen it but it comes up in search idra huk mlg dallas or to that effect).
I've seen a clip of the idra quit, but otherwise, I'd really like to watch his games from MLG Dallas and I can't find them. I see people have done a few of the other series, but how can commentators at sc2casts.com be doing every set BUT the one that everyone is talking about?

I wish idra would stream more soon, after few hours of watching him play and win most of the games with raw skill and no lucky quesses Im convinced hes the best player I'w seen. Best non korean player for sure. And when he "bm" he does it for a reason.

He doesn't BM often, and when he does, he's not usually the one who starts it.
People take the few instances he has BM'ed and blow them way out of proportion/context to make IdrA look like a huge dickwad. Which he isn't.

Idra makes some reasonable statements regarding zerg (respectively, empirically unquestionable tournament results) and Day9 just laughs like stupid. If Idra was that wrong he could have easily disproved his statements by listing these oh so many Z tournament wins or giving concrete advice on how to 'correctly' play zerg. But he did nothing but laugh, give some generic phrases and pretend the whole assumption of zerg being weak was totally absurd.
Man, it's okay that a great caster of his format doesn't emphasize 'imbalance' too much and focusses on improving and gameplay instead, but he could have responded in a more appropriate way nevertheless.

Well..Day9 did try to tell zerg players how to play and it went something like "i want to see zergs just get 30 infestors asap then be gimmicky as fuck in ZvP" not minding the fact that the reason we go roaches in the first place is so that we can actually survive long enough to pump out gas units

Yeah, day9 is amazing and all, but then trying to defend your argument with "oh well sen has won like a ton of online cups" and then he can't remember a single one... I'd love to see another SoTG with IdrA+another zerg or terran, instead of of 2 protoss+day9

i think Day9's reasoning was fine - he stated that balance talk was irrelevant because of the metagame. Now, the game could be horribly imbalanced like Idra said, but to give an example, for example, if you just 6 pool every game then colossus imbalance doesn't matter. Now obviously that's very very extreme, but the beauty of starcraft is you can work around it. While in a straight up unit to unit fight there may exist imbalances, one race can use the extreme mobility of certain units to work around this, or a certain race can be extremely defensive to increase cost efficiency of their units, et cetera.
I think they were both correct. Day9 is right that the metagame may simply sidestep balance issues, and does make balance a bit irrelevant - also given that you can lose as much in an attack as you can win (ie drops that get destroyed by mutas, for example). Idra brings up valid points of balance, but the game is just more dynamic than that. The problem with Zerg is just the sacrifice of units to drones, whereas the other races can do both, and Idra discussed that quite a bit. I think Idra was pointing out that the metagame is stale and Zerg can do anything because Protoss forces the game in their direction too much (ie Infestors may be awesome but all your gas is used on roaches because of their mass gate push, etc), and Day9 was saying the metagame was too dynamic.
I have to say I agree with Idra on the matter more though, right now there aren't enough metagame options that can be utilized against a protoss who just sits so defensively on 2 base.

Haha, that Huk interview is brilliant! Acting like ladder wins actually matter when he gets smashed every time they face in a tourney.

Huk himself and Huk fans think the ladder is the best skill measurement. He just continues to spew out bad result to bad result but people hang in there because 'hes good at ladder'

Day9 did make an interesting point about rapidly switching to Infestors like Brood War Terrans switch to Mech in TvZ. However, IdrA didn't get a chance to comment on it because they moved onto another topic. I would really like to hear IdrA's opinion on it though.

I can't wait for the IdrA + Painuser State of the Game, where Painuser says he would gladly trade tanks for hydralisks xD
|
Hydras would be great if you aren't facing colossus.
A lot of people have stated that more than 3 infestors is a waste, especially in a practical game. I think Day9 was wrong on that. I think the only thing the infestor buff is doing is changing ZvZ to 1 base infestor rush, which is fun - until everyone starts doing it.
