If you have a good amount of infestors you will be shutting down a buch of strategies, or making them really hard to execute/too dangerous. Infestors will be able to stop Void Rays, Phoenix, Stalkers and Colossus, they won't be dealing a lot of damage to Sentries, but they are support only... They can also stop chargelots. So, as long as you have enough infestors with mana and good micro, they should be pretty strong against the protosses. //tx

Somehow I doubt that. When banelings are a good counter to bio play, yet bio is a viable option, it is: banelings are strong against terran, not: banelings are overpowered against terran.

Doesn't overpowered-ness require it to shut down strategies or something? A lot of stuff in Brood War is overpowered. It's just every race has OP stuff to balance it all out. For example. Brood War zerg would DESTROY SC2 T/Z/P thanks to hydra, scourge, lurkers, and defilers.

His ling/bane/corruptor style seems to be working well, and the new infestors are beastly against stalkers. So he must be feeling at least a bit better about the matchup - hopefully he becomes as confident against 'toss as he did against Terran after the first big Terran nerfs.

I immediately wrote up a little blurb about it and sent it to my SC2 friends on Facebook. It's in the following spoiler, along with the YouTube link to the games. I don't think there's any mention of it in the OP, so that may want to be fixed ![]() + Show Spoiler + I don't know if you knew this, but Combat-EX is notorious for being a complete dick (besides losing to Chill in SC1 in that epic match casted by Day[9]). He's actually made his way to one of the highest spots in the NA ladder through just proxy rushing, cheesing, and *literally asking people for free wins*, and he BMs people throughout the entire game (unlike IdrA, who just ragequits if he loses). Apparently, IdrA was recently streaming his matches, and managed to get paired up against Combat-EX in several games in a row. It was a HUGE bad-manner fest, and some of the most hilarious shit I've ever seen. It's also saved and uploaded to the following YouTube link... and it's saved in a playlist, so it'll auto-upload each next video in the series when the previous one is done :-) IdrA's entire stream was saved in 9 parts, but his games against Combat-EX only took place in parts 2 (starting at 1:25) through about 13:30 of part 5. (Later parts have him playing really good matches against Terran, but they're not as hilarious.) Here's the link; you're going to want to watch the IdrA vs. Combat-EX Showdown!
