That would be me. I'll say it again, she's the best player in NA. Why the fuck wouldn't I vote for her?

And yes, I understand that my vote for her is currently working against Greg's chances of being top 2, but at the time I voted Sen wasn't even in contention for top 2. Even then, Scarlett and Sen are the two best players in that list, so the results aren't all that surprising.

Has Sen actually been playing this game at all? I like the guy a lot, but I figured he was going to retire soon like Jinro and Haypro considering I haven't seen him in a relevant tournament in probably half a year. I know he's good enough when he's in shape, but damn, he's definitely not as good as idra is at the moment.

On topic, Scarlett admires Idra a lot, so you'd be voting for someone Scarlett considers a legitimate contender.

I don't think Scarlett admires IdrA because of his skill - she most likely likes him because he is popular, successful, good-looking and has money. Or maybe she just says she likes him because she is hoping to be acquired by EG in the future.

But either way, everyone should vote for IdrA!

Are you serious? Who exactly is more deserving than Sen, a player with a great career in both BW and SC2?

Edited because I just read the initial qoute. There certainly is not 20 more deserving.

You can make a case for both Sen or IdrA, but diminishing Sen that much is just blatantly absurd.

As much as I love IdrA I'd prefer to see Sen there. Sen goes to school and makes more than enough money off the TeSL so he doesn't travel much. His skill level is ridiculous, even IdrA would tell you Sen is among the top couple foreign Zergs.

he does have results, winning WCS Taiwan with dropping a game. there is a lack of tournaments in asia. GM on korea which most foreigners cant reach.

No, read my earlier post.

His results are like an exact, if smaller sample, replica of IdrA's. Beating bad players, losing to the best Koreans, dropping games to people he shouldn't and with the occasional series win thrown in.

Sen is awesome at his best, but like I said once, evidence he'd be any more likely to beat an excellent Korean in the World Championships is non-existant.

sen did beat byun and MMA in bo7s recently. I was arguing for Sen over any other NA player except idra
the beating bad players thing apply to scarlett, though she hasn't participated in many big events at all, so she hasn't had a chance to play koreans.

foreigners aren't playing well right now anyway(no stephano) given the recent MLG(the most recent korean vs foreigner tourney)you have nerchio and maybe Vortix who played a few koreans during their runs. placing Sen with these guys doesn't mean that much.

at their peak no foreigner except stephano/huk/jinro/naniwa even come close to greg.

man, you fanboys are deluded...

Sen is definitely more deserving than idra, if you mean skill peak that's sad for idra because he has about a 30% winrate in 2012 so his peak was 1 year ago the least, and sen beat some top class koreans/foreigners in 2012

there are like 100 players better than idra. i get it that you're fans but dont be ridiculous. i like him too but try to think objectively just for a second

I would think that the best representation of his current skill is his latest result, which is (Afaik) MLG - which was pretty good. To say 100 other players could pull that run off is pretty deluded imo.
Besides, it doesn't just have to be skill you're looking for. It´s who you want to represent. I would like IdrA because I love his personality and playstyle, while he at the same time is one of the best on this list.
"Until the very, very top, in almost anything all that matters, is how much work you put in. The only problem is that most people can't work hard even at things they do enjoy, much less things they don't have a real passion for." - Greg "IdrA" Fields

As much as I love IdrA I'd prefer to see Sen there. Sen goes to school and makes more than enough money off the TeSL so he doesn't travel much. His skill level is ridiculous, even IdrA would tell you Sen is among the top couple foreign Zergs.

People keep saying that and yet there aren't results to back up this ridiculous skill level.

he does have results, winning WCS Taiwan with dropping a game. there is a lack of tournaments in asia.

I was arguing for Sen over any other NA player except idra
the beating bad players thing apply to scarlett, though she hasn't participated in many big events at all, so she hasn't had a chance to play koreans.

foreigners aren't playing well right now anyway(no stephano) given the recent MLG(the most recent korean vs foreigner tourney)you have nerchio and maybe Vortix who played a few koreans during their runs. placing Sen with these guys doesn't mean that much.

at their peak no foreigner except stephano/huk/jinro/naniwa even come close to greg.

id call idra and sen old dogs

man, you fanboys are deluded...

Don't talk down to people. You come off an an asshole and nobody is going to repsect your opinion.

If this poll occured a few months ago, I probably wouldn't vote for Greg...... okay, I would just because he's my favorite player, but I wouldn't actually believe that he's one of the 2 best on the list. Now, he is genuinely playing much better, and hopefully we'll see some results to confirm that.

Nobody here is claiming that he's on top of the world right now. That would be ridicuous. However, your claim that there are about 100 players better than him right now is equally ridiculous.
