Yup. This isn't an irrational defense either. I'm pretty sure that he openly stated that he didn't give a fuck about this. He certainly didn't use those exact words, but this event is far from his focus.

He was in the offline final bracket for the qualifier. Even if he'd prefer not to participate, he's obligated to do so, and EG would make sure of it.

He had to since EG was doing a media event at PAX.

I hope that since he threw those games that he is training for WCS. If he wins WCS over Stephano, MC, or DRG I would, in the words of the immortal Sean "Day9" Plott, "shit fully decorated christmas trees".

He's not able to attend ESWC, as it conflicts with MLG. I think he is obligated to play MLG over ESWC anyways wow -_- i almost wish he didnt play and rested then

Oh come on none dares to just throw games away on purpose on lan. He lost, get over it, hope he does better next time, but those kind of excuses are pretty retarded.

Wow one week at EG and Stephano has already occupied idra's streaming seat. It's getting rough.....

No, he actually just didn't really care. That's the matter of the fact

if EG had an event to do, that explains it. look at the original bracket, half the lineup wasnt even there..

because EG were doing a media event there
he obviosuly didn't want to give away builds at ESWSC and would rather attend MLG as winning that would be way more important than some random tourney in france, that 0-3 meant nothing tbh

Nobody is claiming he is throwing games. Not trying/caring and throwing games are quite different.

How dare that demon seed Stephano sit on our glorious kings thrown! BANISH HIM!!!!

If you are talking about the WCS World Championship, MC and DRG did not make it. Stephano did. Huk too.

i watched yesterdays games and it seemed like there was alot of lag, was it still lagging today? ZvZ is a pretty bad match up to be palying with lag

If you saw the commercial for ESWC, Suppy and IdrA were featured for the media event. They don't have to bring the entire team for the media event.

They don't have to bring the entire team for the media event. what i meant was, half the lineup for eswc didn't even turn up, i.e nobody gives a shit about eswc, wcs has taken over entirely the "world champion" idea, and ESWC clashes with MLG, thus no one is taking it seriously. even hawk who won probably won't attend. Idra, suppy, etc, definately wont attend if they won.

What's the difference? You either try to win or you don't.

Greg loves to win, its the only reason he plays SC2 so whenever hes in a game hes playing to win so the problem is he doesnt care about winning because theres no prestige or amount of money worthy really focusing on the game 100%

He had absolutely no reason to want to win. There was no prize money for winning. All he would've gotten was a trip to a small tournament that he wouldn't even be able to attend. He was only there for the PAX media event. I mean the games were almost as bad as his 6p's in his showmatch against aLive.
