Idra's engagements are the issue... his mechanics are better than Stephano's but his decision making isn't. Mystik is looking pretty strong in ZvZ, and if Idra got 2-0d by Vibe (I didn't see the series) he's gonna have a tough ZvZ ahead of him.
But if he can win it I think he can go all the way. Idra rides momentum so well. He could probably have done with the series against Ranged just to get a win against Protoss down and start feeling good, feeling confident. Like when he 2-0d MC ages ago, he was so confident in his ability to beat him, and I think that helped him more than anything else.

Did you see Stephano vs Polt Taldarim? Stephano 4000/2000 130 supply, can only make 60 Zerglings. I don't know whether Stephano was so certain of victory that he didnt bother, but Idra doesn't usually make that kind of error.

I'm not really impressed with the zvz of either Mystik or Daisuki, they both seem pretty sloppy with their units. I think Idra can definitely take this.

That was the first game of the tournament. Getting far doesn't really have anything to do with it.

how does that even matter? the fact is its still a official match, a pro game and stephano should not have let a mistake like that slip.

Based on performance in a tournament Idra wasn't invited to. It's not like Polt is some final boss who lurks around the quarterfinals, waiting to ambush unwary challengers.
