In English it means "hands off" or a way to approach something that has a lack of interference from someone/something else. It's typically used to describe an economy, but not always. In French, it means more along the lines of "relaxed" or "easy going" (I'm just assuming this is true from what I have read here), but it's awkward to use it that way in English since it is a common English phrase with a slightly different meaning. Given the fact that the topic involved Stephano, I guess it was appropriate  In fact in french we use this expression in the same way than in english. When we say "Il y a du laissez-faire", it's means that some things are done without any questionning, without any constraints.
It's different because we don't use this term as often as the French does.
we use it only when we are explaining government's policy on managing the economy or the management style, making the term a lot more related to political and economic and serious.
It's a bit like cantonese and mandarin, sure cantonese can also use the words from mandarin but the words in general are more intellectual while cantonese is more of Hong Kong chilled out style.

Yeah, well I hope it isn't featured on the weekly show Anna produces where EG members read fanmail they receive and such. I would want a personal unpacking video where he gets the room to say thank you personally and such.
