Personal attacks in this thread will draw a temp ban. |
No idea if Idra reads this thread but, here goes NOTHIN:
Idra, I've been rockin as a +1 for you since before the beta, and really dig your personality and play. Slumps come and go, not to mention it's fucking sc2 and shit just happens; you can play great and simply get the worse end of the stick, or be unlucky, or miss a pylon by 2 inches, or a thousand other things that don't qualify or disqualify you from being good.
My thoughts are this: you're a very logical player. You think "protoss will do x denying me y, so i'm going to do z every time i see him do x" which, in a perfect game, is the right call; however, the opponents you're facing are far from perfect, even the Koreans. Go for the aggressive play, even if you know he's going to wall off his third. Try different shit, for the hell of it, even if you think it's bad. Obviously you can't just "go shit" vs really great, mechanically profficient players who know what to do when they see something off-beat, but the point is simply to maybe break some of those fundemental understandings you have of the game, throw a spear in the air and see where it lands.
I by no means intend to speak as if I know what it's like to play at your level, or know what it feels like to be you, but I think you're a necessary personality to the sc2 community, and someone who deserves to win more than you are right now. Hope you pull it together like the T-1000 at the end of Terminator 2.

hard to say if Jaedong could win because the casters never talked about supply and drone count (mainly cause they couldnt mostly) i think he might have held if instead of countering he used all his roachs to sandwich the toss army
but for another few months its not like any of thse games really show anything amazing

Jaedong was actually going to win but then he got his ramp FFed when he retreated his army, which then allowed the toss to hold his army in his base for a good 4 minutes with a few sentries while he ran around and sniped everything but one base.

Theres no need to be like that. Everyone that posts here regularly, posts their opinion. There was not a damn thing wrong with his OP. If you don't like it, move on.
It irks me people can't be civil.

He posted a lot of positive stuff and giving support of Idra even if the advice is wrong and won't be heard(not taking sides on it because i don't care) he posted positive stuff giving support so don't be so aggressive towards him.

I really liked the interviews, nice to see IdrA so relaxed after two losses. Hope the sports psychologist thing works out for him and he stomps some faces in Anaheim.
IdrA fighting!!

dude it's good advice. i don't care if it's unheeded. sc2 is a game that requires odd builds and random balls. i dont have to be grandmaster to shit that out. I JUST DONT
|
Myabe all those useless posts about "Idra's mindset" will stop now. The man admitted it and that he started going to a sports psychologist. Things will start getting better soon

No you can win without that - Like every progamer does that. Say mindgames and I would be happy, but you don't do ''random'' builds. Drg's busts are because he expects a 3 cc greedy or even saw it.
