This isn't funny guys, playing such awful players could have real long term effects on IdrA's preparation for tournaments...

What are some things he can do to compensate? Could he start playing more games on Korea? If Scoots paid enough money would there be some way to magically make the lag better?

Honestly, it's depressing to watch IdrA waste 5 solid hours of practice time on such garbage T_____T

I'm pretty sure that the pros ladder not for actual practice (like the kind to get better) but to simply expose themselves to situations that do not arise in team practice. Korean ladder is just so saturated with pros that it is essentially a diversified team practice group, so that is why Korean ladder is legit practice, while all the other ones are not.

Puma laddered on Korea while in the EG house, if Greg was seriously laddering for practice he would be on Korea too since he even has a Korean account

the streaming is just for his fans

at that level pros ladder to keep mechanics fresh and to make money streaming. on korea its different, there are a ton of good players to be matched against, but on NA and EU it generally isnt looked at as dedicated practice time.

well it isnt completely terrible practice, it helps polish micro and macro and scouting and other mechanics

laddering on NA wont help you hold off a korean immortal warp prism push or give you experience against a hellion/marauder push but you can still improve regardless of your opponents skill

one thing i know for sure is that his performance still reflect to a degree towards the results his practice games.
Yes his results have been poor, but watching him play sure is entertaining and energising compared to lets say 2 months ago.

Actually Greg said the koreans use ladder primarily as a source of practicer over custom games.

Uuuh he has friends, if he wants harder opponents he has a house full of talented players. If they still aren't good enough i'm sure his friends list can provide someone.

Ladder isn't great practice, Even if the matchmaking was the same.

I believe that his schedule (may be permanent?) is to stay international during the spring/summer/probably fall and then move back to Korea for the winter. It is the best schedule for being able to attend foreign tournaments.

I think its best he stay in USA for a little while at least. The next CodeA qualifiers wont be for some time. Likely May or June.

I doubt IdrA would stream if his EG contract didn't say he was obligated to :D
