I am sad because as soon as Idra says, "Cheese is a legit part of the game, I will deal with it and rape it." He will start being sexy as ever. Then, once he says, "Aggression is the name of the game for SC2, and I should start doing more risky aggressive timing attacks", he will become unstoppable.

His mindset was always that of Starcraft: BW in that all games should be macro games, and the person with better mechanics will always win. He has already mentioned in an interview that he believes Starcraft II caters to the more aggressive players. I just don't understand why he won't take that to heart in his practice and playstyle. I think he'd be incredible. His mechanics and game knowledge, in conjunction with his potential sick ass timing pushes, with his above average micro, they would all lead to incredible success for him. As he plays it for a job, I just really wish he would atleast experiment, or accept the idea.
The IQ and the life expectancy of the average American recently passed each other in opposite directions.

I know this is a weird and totally off topic question, but does any1 here knows if there is any age limits to get in ESCW in france? If i go there i'll have to bring my 2years old son and my wife...so even if they don't spend the full time inside the event, do you think there is a problem with that? Or can my son go in with no problems?

Thank you

Idra vs Jinro

+ Show Spoiler +

1st game: typical macro game, IdrA just stomps Jinro
2nd game: Jinro 2-base marine/tank push (allin?)
3rd game: 3 bunker proxy rush

Does it seems weird, or are players IdrA face just go further into cheese as the series progresses... Like every time in a LAN event. The 3rd game? IdrA was the one who inveted defense against this build when Select started to use it...

Could it be... jet lag?

Idra beats someone easily in a macro game. Terran player craps his pants and resorts to cheese/high risk high reward play. Wins. Pretty much how idra loses to T since forever.

I wouldn't even say it's high risk. you might be a little bit behind if zerg easily holds it off (which happens rarely) but terran can always come back. Also, terrans can always give up on the rush as soon as they see zerg is prepared, thus losing almost nothing. if idrA would have held off that rush he still would have been behind.
Shame on jinro for abusing such infantile mechanics

Have anyone thought about the reason why Idra is so good at long macro games is because he is very greedy in early/midgame and that's why he isn't that good to defend early/midgame pressure?

Its like hearing Dezzer on IdrA's stream. To answer - no. This is the way you are suppose to play. No question about it.

If you get crushed because you over extend it's easily a huge momentum swing in the game. It depends on how aggressive you are.

yes and that's probably the only cheese situation where zerg gets clearly ahead. If a terran does an extremely high risk push and gets demolished. Everything else a terran does; however, is not very high risk.

Jim's PvZ seems like his worst match up based off of TLPD. AND his ELO rank is lower... maybe we'll see that these stats actually mean something this time round... also hoping his young age will go against him on the big stage... of course all this being a long shot, also assuming im looking at the right JIM lol
