If you criticize something that Greg did, you are automatically wrong and should fuck off? If somebody beat him, the guy who won sucks and shouldn't have won?
Being a fan =/= blindly loving everything he does and everybody who disagrees is wrong.
Yeah he loses, he's slumping a bit. He was probably on tilt after not doing as well as he should have on groups. He'll get better when he goes back to Korea, which is a good thing.
Hopefully we'll see the old IdrA back. I hope he stays for more than a month or two and can maybe get back to Code A caliber (he might be like Ro16 Code A if he got an invite, but I don't think he could get through the qualifiers with the amount of cheese that happens there)
Maybe let Puma 2rax him for a hundred games or something.
it's not about criticizing mistakes he makes, it's those annoying taunting posts from the IdrA haters that are not asked for here

Agreed, but this is a fan club and as such people should try and show a little respect to Idra and his fans.
In terms of his performance, I think Idra has some really really silly loses in this MLG and he is smart enough to realize how to go about this. My hope is that he will take this MLG as a wake up call to his current skill level and will hopefuly step it up and we can see him, along with HuK tear it up in korea.

idra needs to bring back the gracket. i'm pretty sure thats where his power comes from.

No I meant two things 1. MLG has a retarded tournament format 2. Idra didn't deserve to be seeded in such a way if those are the results he shows.

Your logic is pointless because you are ignorant to facts.
He has been practicing 8+ hours for over the last month. You can look at his match history if you like.
God forbid someone have a poor tourney
You know who else did shitty this mlg?

IdrA played well in a lot of his games, just minor mistakes and I'm sure he knows that. He will get his top form back in Korea.

Can't wait for Greg in Korea. I think this will honestly be a humbling experience he wants and needs. The fundamentals and experience are there, and everyone knows that, but his expectations of late seem to have been sugar-coated. I hope for a full-scale reconstruction and more intuitive play and this is all achievable with an adjusted mentality. Idra can dominate with the styles he displayed in this tournament, but they seem so far from theoretically optimal, and his cheese defenses seem anywhere from masterful to dazed/confused. This refining process begins with analytically practicing these things from an objective state of mind with a separation of all of his expected agony.
I don't say these things because I know better, but because I trust them and for me there is no funner player to watch when he's on.

He is nowhere near close to his true caliber, but this is what happens when you get a girlfriend and you begin to do other things in eSports other than just training (Same things can be said for iNControL). gaming career as he used to be.
He still has his skills but at the moment he is not adapting to the game and this is why he is losing to new builds and strategies because he is too used to Starcraft 1 when he could use his mechanics to beat his player, but Starcraft 2 is a game which is more about strategy and psychology rather than mechanics. IdrA is still a high class player and works hard but he just isn't as committed to his professional playing career
You can still tell that the passion for him is there (Breaking headset after Trimaster match), it is just unfortunate that the results are not coming for him
That is why Korea should be a good thing for him, I'm hoping that he will get over there and work his hardest to overcome this slump so we can see the IdrA we all get excited to watch.

Damn :/ everybody sometimes has a bad tourney, i have no doubt we will see a strong Idra in the future... Most of the time it was smaller mistakes killing him. Keep fighting Idra, i will keep rooting for you

IdrA fighting harder in next MLG :3

i don't like his give up attitude he sometimes displays but I respect idra a whole lot more than the people who criticize him since he is a super good player who has a heavy fanbase. I'd imagine that would put some stress onto him that not many people could handle at all
That said he needs to go back to korea ._.

It really is a shame that one has to go to Korea to be competitive.
It effectively makes it impossible for a good e-sports culture to grow in the rest of the world. There won't be any great e-sports "houses" outside Korea, ever.
I get the feeling SC2 will head the same way Brood War did, in maybe half a decade or less. Limited international competition with the odd big tournament, and with Korea being hyper-competitive. Or maybe Korea will still be playing BW and SC2 fading away, who knows.
Still, I wish Idra the best, for what it's worth. His skill at his peak, earlier in SC2's life, shouldn't be overestimated as the overall skill of the players has gone up, but still, #20 is a shame. And yeah, while Trimaster is generally worse, a win is a win. Idra needs to step up his game or he will eventually be unable to keep the label of "the American hope".
