My family doctor got me on anti-depressants because I asked him, so the psychiatrist was to confirm my depression and check for other mental illnesses or whatnot. The verdict: no mental illness, I have the syndrome of giftedness, or so he said. I don't have much of an emotional intelligence, when it comes to people I rationalize relationships and interactions intellectual instead of emotionally or whatever like most. The psychiatrist also told me to go see a therapist to learn to develop that emotional thing I'm missing. But due to a lack of time, motivation, and... "Hope". I did not go yet.
