Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.

Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.

Awesome thanks! Trying to watch more Korean shows and movies to improve my listening abilities for Korean. Trying to learn the language for my trip to Seoul (hopefully!) next year :D

Yes there are plenty, I am sure the rest of the people here can give you more but here are the few that I know and like: Epik High, Leessang for hip hop and CNBlue and FT Island for alternative rock If you like melodic 'heavy' metal i recommend Boohwal... that band is just sick.. at least their old stuff like from 86 and early 90s? I havent heard much of their newer stuff.
And... Ya I remember that episode, Charice is that young (or young looking) girl correct? That girl has serious pipes.. But compared to singers in general, not just the best, would she be in the bottom, middle, or top?
Like Kpop singers, or singers singers? She's pretty good for kpop but average for "real" singers. IMO she's got the technique down but lacks musicality, or if I didn't want to sound as pretentious she doesn't really know what to do with her talent to "make it her own" (lol). It's like she knows the classical theory of how to make singing sound good and she can do that, but she doesn't sound amazing and there's no special quality to her voice (thinking IU here lol) that really sets her apart.
IU a better vocalist than Luna b/c there is no "special quality to her voice"...?
IU is more of a singer/songwriter, while Luna is a vocalist. There is a difference :O
Luna's tone/vibrato/breath control is just superior in all respects to IU's. Maybe you should try listening to each of their voices with your eyes closed to prevent bias ;p
Luna is definitely one of the more underrated vocalists of kpop.
Luna has quite a limited vocal range.. you'll notice that her voice starts to tremble at higher notes and she tends to shout to hit those notes -- it's rather painful to listen.
She might be good, but nowhere great -- and definitely not underrated.

Following the news of Rainbow and T-ARA’s crossover to Japan, it’s been announced that 4-membered girl group SECRET also have plans to debut there as well. The girls plan to break into the J-pop scene with the Japanese version of their hit single “Madonna“, which will come out on August 3rd.
These girls became one of the hottest girl groups in Korea, and Japanese record labels battled hotly for their contract. In the end, SECRET signed on with Sony Music Artist Records.
A representative from Sony commented, “I was surprised by how good the songs were, as well as how polished their performance was.”
Leader Hyosung commented, “With our Japanese debut coming up, I am very nervous. We are preparing very hard with new feelings, so please look forward to it. And please give SECRET a lot of love.”
The group will be holding a showcase live in Tokyo on July 6th prior to the release of their Japanese single.
So the day after T-ara has a showcase, SECRET is going to have one too. Wonder how long till the Japanese get fed up.

Probably like we/Koreans are now. Pay attention to a few girl groups, ignore the rest. It's kinda expected after people saw how much money Kara/SNSD are making over there, tons more than they ever made in Korea
