It seems based on Hunter X Hunter a bit (Gourmet Hunters, even some monster designs look taken out of HxH; for example the birds from the Hunter exam tower descent show up at one point... or at least a very similar design). A pretty similar feel while reading it (although HxH is one of my top mangas of all time and I won't say Toriko is nearly that good overall). Essentially just a guy running around the world killing giant things and eating them. What more could you ask for? Worth a read. | ||

TWGOK is so spot on these days, it's amazing. The plot is good, and the jokes are great. I laughed bitterly at the RPG comparison for like a minute. I mean, practically every RPG in existence tries to pull that shit where you have to cross whole fucking oceans just to fulfill one quest. -_- | ||
