Aren't Shiki and SHIKI linked so Shiki sees SHIKI's vision? I thought it would be SHIKI going out to eat and meeting Nrvnsqr, but since he gets out of bed and comes back, I'm wondering what this is. So if he's hallucinating (not seeing SHIKI's vision) then why is he seeing this?

Shiki seeing through SHIKI, Nero has indeed met one of Roa's incarnations over the years, so the reference can only mean SHIKI.

No witches at least. That's why she couldn't get any Grief Seeds to purify her Soul Gem. So she would have turned into the first witch really fast. (See Sayaka as an example of that.)

You don't need something to fight to have a magical girl. A wish is enough. She will become a witch sooner or later. The less witches she has to fight, the better.

I was under the impression that soul gems are not corrupted unless you use them. But then again, all it would have taken is for one Incubator to say "look at the cool powers you can use now!" and the first magical girl would essentially be screwed from that point on.

Yeah no need to explain the whole system, although your explanation is plausible.

Why do you think Homura uses guns and bombs and stuff instead of magic? :D

Homerun-chan: Tch.
Madoka: I want to become a magical girl! And I want a bottle of Morning Leskew!
Homerun-chan: Nooooo ;_;

Homerun-chan gets emotional. But then realizes that they need to kill the witch. So Madoka and Homerun-chan, just like in the ED cover, shoot the witch, and kill it. They then confront InQBtor's true form, and kill it.

InQBtor (dying): You may have killed me. But there are many more of my kind! Muahahahahahaha!

*cue season two*

Homerun-chan does choose to let an entire city die just for her own selfishness. So her and Madoka go to the private resort that she has, so they can live their wonderful life together. But Madoka can't abandon all those people. That includes her family, after all. So she sneaks out to make a contract, and Homerun-chan is like "Oh shit!" But when she meets Madoka, there are a few permutations:

1. It is too late. Madoka becomes a magical girl, and dies fighting the witch. But she weakened it enough for Homerun-chan to kill it on her own. Everything is saved, but Homerun-chan is forced to eek out a meager existence, alone. foreveralone.png

2. Homerun-chan finds Madoka after she made the contract, and it ends up like I described in the other spoiler.

3. Homerun-chan finds Madoka before she made the contract, and then...
3a. She can't convince Madoka, and I'm too lazy to break down the permutations of this. Basically either the other spoiler tag, or the first permutation from this spoiler tag.
3b. She convinces Madoka that this is a bad idea. Idk what happens from there. Maybe Homerun-chan kills the witch alone and we get a generic happy ending, complete with a yuri scene.

4. Both Madoka and Homerun-chan die. But they unleash so much energy that the Incubators don't need any more. No more magical girls! :D
4a. They both die, but it's just part of a vicious cycle. This will ultimately happen to many other girls

I can think of more, but I find them to be less likely than these, so I won't describe them.
