Aldnoah.Zero was a complete trainwreck. I also watched Sakurako-san of them, which was ok. I'm hoping it will be the same with Lord El-Melloi. I have watched the pilot and if the pretentiousness doesn't get too annoying it should be alright.

I think the El-Melloi lns are supposed to be solid but idk. Maybe if you are a Fate fan you will enjoy it more (or just a Waver fan).

Kanata no Astra also had a decent first double-episode. I'm personally a fan of sci-fi settings, though I wish they incorporated some more hard sci-fi elements, especially into their zero-g segments.

Haha yea HxH is pretty much done at this point. They made a pretty nice anime original send off since it's unlikely to get continued. There may be another remake in 10 odd years if the next part ever gets finished.

Just watched the first Ep of Vinland Saga and it is amazing. Never read the manga but Wit Studio is doing work. Looking forward to the next two before they take a break.

I read it in a comment. They're doing 3 episodes and then taking a break. If they're gonna continue pumping out this level of work, I don't mind a 1-2 week break here and there. Edit. 3 episodes are out now. Just checked.

Watching Vinland Saga feels super weird after the past couple years of the manga. Things have changed a lot.
Astra's first half was pretty meh, but I liked the second half a lot more. Seems decently promising.
Ballroom e Youkoso is back after a year and a half long hiatus. Praise be.

Fire Force, VS, Astra, and Dr. Stone are the new series I'll be following this season. I might try Granbelm, but I'm getting major Franxx vibes from the mecha.

Fire Force and Dr Stone had pretty solid first episodes. Fire Force hooked me with its visuals, sound design, and music, and Dr Stone hooked me with its interesting premise. Vinland Saga looks great too. I haven't read any of the manga sources, so I hope the quality continues on into the season.

idk what or where you read it about but could very well be there's something on that date that they're forced to not air something?
Maybe some japanese holiday that we don't think of, or some odd sports event taking priority for the spot they're usually airing on etc.

I have watched episode 1 of El-Melloi and Vinland Saga now. El-Melloi was ok... The friend is very cringe-worthy and the "sister" is pretty annoying as well. Let's see how this will go. Vinland Saga on the other hand was utterly amazing. Great characters so far which is a great sign. After just one episode with barely any time to develop them you already get a feel for quite a few of them. Good production by Wit Studio as well. The direction is on point and the soundtrack is fantastic as well. Looking forward to more.

Well, if they are going to take a break every 3 episodes I might as well watch it when it's complete... But as Toad said, it might be an odd one out.

I never said it was going to be standard practice. Just that for these three episodes, they were taking a break after. I don't know the true story behind it. Just passing on scuttlebutt.

New slime isekai OVA is out. It's a swimsuit episode 
While the show's quality did drop off a bit toward the end of the first season, the OVA made me miss all those characters.

Cop Craft gave me some really heavy Space Dandy vibes for some reason. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and world they're creating. Hopefully it'll keep up through the season.
