I mean i guess it had decent animation and good sound design which is important for a show about music, but beyond that i fail to understand its appeal. A show focused on character drama should ideally have likable characters and be good at handling drama, but a mix of jarring characters that don't fit the tone the show is seemingly going for + incredibly out of place garbage gag comedy really ruined any chance the show had of producing good drama. I guess part of it also reminds me of this: + Show Spoiler + ![[image loading]](https://i.imgur.com/dcfksNs.jpg) Edit: Also i'd like to give a shoutout to Wolf Children for being one of my favourite anime movies. It's also a movie you can easily watch with people who aren't typically into anime. Oh tokyo godfathers too, but that one should be watch during christmas time. | ||

It's just that to me the show really failed to evoke any sympathy for any character except the main character at the start which the show managed to ruin as well. Kaori is especially one of the least likable love interests i know of. Oh we have a person here dealing with trauma that i don't know the details of, i better + Show Spoiler + kick him over his shins because he won't play the piano when i tell him to do so How am i expected to feel sympathy or an emotional connection to her character when she does shit like that? Like holy shit if i met someone like that IRL i wouldn't want to ever associate with them again, i'd tell them to leave me alone forever Edit: fwiw i dropped it too, i was even looking forward to it when it began airing but i quickly realized that it wasn't what i was hoping that it would be at all | ||
