J.C.Staff isn't a terrible studio but they really aren't a studio that has ever stood out to me animation wise in general (They have good moments here and there but nothing like OPM s1). Obviously OPM s1 relied heavily on freelancer animators that they could bring in again but a big part of that was due to the director AFAIK. So yeah, if it turns out good i'll be happy, if it doesn't then that's what i expected anyway. Such a shame. | ||

It's like the equivalent of a visual novel for me. Just for anime. The character design etc is probably going to look amazing but that's about it. And even that is always a hard sell if you're doing an s2 and people liked s1, no matter if you designs are actually better looking or not. Think OreGairu s1 -> s2. I'd easily say s2 characters looked tons better any day but people liked the s1 looks of it. | ||

This is a common occurrence tho, especially for manga. At the end of a volume, they sometimes invite guest mangakas to draw the characters in completely random scenarios. It's mostly for fun.
