I'm watching Mud Whales on Netflix and it's okay (at least okay enough I have some interest in the manga). Really weird pacing makes the last few episodes feel off, though.
They kind of rushed through a lot of things. I don't have any attachments to any of the characters. Lykos is maybe the one interesting one and she's bland as fuck. MC was looking to not be Beta but, he stayed Beta. I have 3 episodes left and I don't know if I want to finish.
Started A.I.C.O last night. Animation is solid. Story is a bit light, but the theme is interesting at least.
A. I. C. O. actually had some of those same issues for me. Watching the first episode dubbed while playing Path of Exile may have ruined it for me even after I switched to subbed, though.
I also found it hard to take the rest of it seriously when episode 1 included actual serious lines translated as "Even though tomorrow is the last day of school, we have a new transfer student everyone!" and "I still can't get over the fact that my father, mother, and brother are all dead" -> exposition dump.

Reminds me "No senpai, this is our fight!" I'm sick of hearing it. And some of the characters have no growth.

I think they basicly just watched Railgun, took the worst part of it , thought to themselves "ooooh boooy, that was soooo awesome" and made it into Mahouka. And we all cringed for the second time seeing this. Thinking about it the parallels are quite staggering. Railgun's only good point of that arc ALSO happened to be (Saten's) boobs in a bathtub iirc! Mahouka did go a step further by showing nipples I guess because movie?

I don't know what Neo is talking about when I just watched this to see more mahouka. I didn't like the movie that much either except for VAs. Too little action as well but I got to see HMB and other Lina spells I guess.

we do but it's just Neo+Ice+Numy+Me and since I don't want to bother Numy+Ice too much I'm mostly chatting with Neo 1on1 because I don't mind bothering him all that much. Half of my posts are Shigure and/or random waifu-boob-tweets (for him!) and the same goes for him, just that you can exchange Shigure with Prinz Eugen or Takao or Belfast or whatever else kind of boat actually has big... character.

This week's FranXX focuses on Zorome and a lot of very ominous world-building. Following this show is such a pain not because it's bad but because I feel that real shit and a lot of heartbreak is going to go down later, but we have to watch it gradually unfold weekly over several months instead of binging a concentrated dose of it in a weekend.
