Of all the shows I've watched this season, Amaama to Inazuma had the best starting episode by far. Horizon 4-B is tl'd~ On July 07 2016 14:58 Toadesstern wrote: basicly ReLife for me so far... [05:33] <Toad|> yeah first 2-3 episodes had me really hooked [05:33] <Toad|> now I'm just sitting here, wondering why I'm watching melodrama + Show Spoiler + not finished yet, I finished 8 episodes so far. But I'm just not a fan of this show starting out about being rehab for MC (hence first 2 episodes nice) and then turning into Drama between everything else. Heck even the supporters had an episode for themselves so far and by itself that would be perfectly fine. But with all the other "omg I hate you stupid bitch! I'm gonna grab your bag to get you real good!" highschool drama it just feels silly how this basicly turned into everyone BUT the MC needing help... While I was at the aforementioned supporter-episode the OST downright annoyed me. They have this, usually pretty nice piano only playing in the background but at some point it's just too much It's a waste of a show. All the focus is on typical highschool drama instead of things that could actually be interesting.

Wow 2d mechas instead of the cgi stuff? A pretty memorable ost in the first episode? I'm liking this so far. Also, yuri undertones? I can go along with this. Considering this is original, im onboard. Also saw orange, amaama, and new game. Amaama definitely the best of those three with new game also being a pleasant surprise. I hope alderamin on Saturday delivers. Haven't watched rewrite yet but I'm hearing that it's made for vn readers rather than only anime viewers

I don't really have any specific genres since I like them all, just don't recommend me any sports anime I've watched all the good ones I can find. Here's my list. Thanks for the help. www.anime-planet.com/users/downmaster

I heard that you had to watch certain ones before watching others for it to make more sense. Maybe I'll revisit them later when I want to give them a try. I tried to watch JoJo before when it was being released. I think I only managed to get through like 4 episodes before I gave up on it. It just didn't draw me in well enough for me to get invested. It probably didn't help that I was watching other anime that spoiled me in that regard. One punch man is probably one of the only anime's I won't watch unless I'm really bored. Same with attack on titan and helsing. I have one friend that I talk to a lot about anime and he kept insisting that I needed to watch them. Not that I should, but that I needed to. So he kinda ruined them for me after awhile. Funny that you brought up Gurren Lagann though. That's the anime I'm currently and I'm the last episode currently. The only complaint I have is about the pacing of it honestly. Since I come from a sports anime and manga background, it just didn't have enough growth in it for me.

Both have tons of dialogue too but katanagatari doesn't change visuals every two seconds if that bothered you for the monogatari series. The second half is drastically different from the first part (different setting, different characters, etc etc) and far more liked than the first part. If you decide to give it another shot someday try to watch up to episode 10.

I watched Owarimonogatari and I didn't mind all the visual effects they had. It was the characters that didn't get me. I felt like there was so much more to them that was told. Since it didn't have any prequels to it, I watched that one and I felt let down. Well I shouldn't say that the characters were bad. I liked most of them, it was just that the main character to me didn't fit in it at all for me and he was quite annoying.

You should watch in the following order: Bakemonogatari -> Nisemonogatari -> Nekomonogatari: Kuro -> Monogatari series: Second season -> hanamonogatari -> tsukimonogatari -> koyomimonogatari -> owarimonogatari And when kizumonogatari is eventually done you should ideally watch that before or after bakemonogatari. But since it's not done you can just ignore it for now.
