Was expecting more WW2, but turns out you get to see the life of a regular Japanese boy/family (instead of a focus on the war). In the end, I got a good story (didn't bring me to tears : Grave of the Fireflies' name came out a few times in a Reddit discussion about saddess anime!)
The soundtrack was nothing special, compared to Spirited Away!
I'll watch more Ghibli movies when I get time. I'll try to tackle Evangelion now. It's been on my watch list for a long time!

okay Emnjay, I finished Kämpfer and apparently I watched 2 episodes more than I needed to? My DL had 14 episodes, just updated MAL and realize it's only 12 episodes and not 14. So probably some OVA...
But let's just agree to not do that kind of bet anymore. That was horrible

I'm still kinda pissed about that ending actually. Was the show supposed to be 2cour and got axed because it flopped or what happened there?

No Game No Life has NOTHING on this in terms of go-read-the-LN. They might have just realized that the people watching it probably don't care for story anyways and just put in more lewd lines for hocchan etc
The "last 2 episodes" weren't actually the last 2 episodes and were some OVA.
IMO anime bets are good when you are getting the other guy to watch good stuff. Unless the other person is a sadist like Nagisama. I get him to read the masterpiece that is Muv-Luv Alternative which he liked, but he forces me to watch CCS? Never forget, never forgive.
