Feels like the show is really slow at revealing more magic and I believe it's 1 cour only (guess here) so I doubt we'll see much by the time it ends. lol what. Sounds like you need to watch pupa ![]() That ain't no gritty despair war anime

you got me, it's not a war anime but it's something else and can fit some categories in your previous post.

+ Show Spoiler + Take at the nature of humans and their apparent need for war crossed with machiavellianism. That was hard for me to watch because it's so close to what humans act in real and I'm personally someone who advocates to give thought to how other people feel. It instantly reminded me of the "kill ISIS and their families" as a recent example. No thoughts given to what the other side might feel. It also ties back to ep1, where they tried to connect the thoughts of each other to end all harm. People need to actively try to understand each other better, that's what needs to happen. It's also the first anime I watched since Death Parade that brought in the idea that, if you harm other people for your own good, their are even more people you are going to hurt at the same time. There are always people who feel for a person that get hurt even if you don't care for said person. Damn this episode was a hit in the guts.

And yeah, you should! Just finished it and it was an absolutely fantastic journey. Very nice sense of adventure and a lot of new, often weird experiences of people, systems, societies etc. It had its cute/heart-warming moments but was also pretty brutal and non-chalant. I also liked how open it adressed certain difficult topics with lots of room for thoughts and only minimal input. It certainly made it into my top10. I put the movies and novels on my to-do-list. I also downloaded the soundtrack just now. It added a lot to the atmosphere and strangely reminded me of Planescape Torment (my favourite single player CRPG experience by far), especially the ED. Great enhancer of nostalgic and mysterious mood.

+ Show Spoiler + Pretty decent episode imo, not as good as the others and based on what was shown, I can't help but feel like this "Wind Agency" isn't even half as good as the D-Agency spies. Interesting to see this sorta rivalry between espionage agencies tho, pretty curious to see how things unfold in next week's episode with a new and different spy

I thought for a long time that the spy was one of the D-Agency. Only when he killed the civillian without hesitation it dawned on me...

Sousei no Onmyouji also had its best episode by far, but I can't blame anyone who isn't watching it anymore. It had lots of bad episodes. Only reason I kept watching it is that it might have lots of episodes and apparently the manga is quite decent. I hope the next episodes will be as good as episode 8, then I'm fine with it. I'm kinda looking forward to what happened with the MC. + Show Spoiler + And how Benio will stomach that he killed her relatives... O.o If i had to guess he either got possessed or lost control, or something happened to the villagers so that he had no choice and couldn't save them. Basically for Sousei you can probably watch episode 1, skip 2-6 and watch 7+8. I doubt you'd miss a lot, most episodes were really dull. Though ep 2 was maybe still OK / important, don't remember. ^^
