Except she knows that is exactly what he is doing because (either if he is or isn't the 7th) it is basically his only option at this point and she is aware of this. She simply doesn't trust anyone and thinks that everyone is pretty much just as likely to be the 7th (with Adelt being #1 suspect right now). She is honestly just baffled by his behavior because of her background and that plus her distrust of everyone plus the fact that she is next on the to be killed list makes it more or less to not act rashly and kill him right away.

She doesn't trust him still. Remember what Hans said? She literally does not trust anyone and she can't even understand him because of her background. She is more calculating and flexible. What he says IS true, that she will be killed next if Adelt dies and isn't the 7th. Her not killing him gives her time to think and plan in case he isn't (and gives him time to clear his name). They still have some time so if she isn't convinced by w/e his solution is then she can just kill him anytime since to her he acts weird and makes himself vulnerable to her all the time.
I also happen to know how this all shakes out (and some minor added details) from reading the LNs hue.

of course what he says is true, or else it wouldn't be useable in a manipulative way.
Yes it obviously boils down to (for her)
It just doesn't make a lot of sense to come to the conclusion that it is the first one from where she is at. Maybe I'm putting too much into what she said afterwards but it DID sound like she started to think he's less likely the 7th after that conversation.
I agree that waiting in her position isn't a bad thing, I just don't think she should be trusting him more than before after that conversation

- Adlet isn't the 7th: He said stuff because he actually wants to save her. Btw that in itself is usually also a major tell that it is in fact him who's the 7th. He has a good reason to think it's not Hans but is getting too friendly with Flamie. It's easier to explain to people why a handful of people can't be the 7th than to make shit up about someone when you already know you're lying because you're the 7th yourself. That's really difficult to pull off so people usually change to emotional tactics as well as defending other people, both to get friends as well as to look like someone who's actually trying to solve the riddle.
- Adlet is in fact the 7th in which case all his nice words were just that: manipulative, nice words with backhanded fearmongering to try and hinder her logical thinking by putting that thought about being the next to die in the back of her head

he called her to talk. He could have just not met with her instead, so it wasn't a move to survive but a move to influence her.
Granted, that failed so he changed plans to "crap I need to get out, no matter how" and because of that she ends up saying she wants to believe him? :/

She didn't say that, she said maybe I will believe you.
