Different medium different expression. Motivation doesn't have to be spelled out and in your face to be expressed, and coincidentally it's eps where ufotable tries to do this are the weakest, as it tends to become a mess of loopy flashbacks. The major complain I do have is the pacing though, it would be much tighter as a 16ep rather than full 2 cours. Also, "lelouch level of calculating" LOL | ||

As for other anime, thanks to TI and other circumstances, didn't watch too much. No one died in Chaos Dragon for 2 straight episodes, and yeah it's the same kind of boring mess it was before. The aquarium dude is the only guy I remotely care in this show (his voice is funny as hell), and ofc he is going to die before the final showdown. The pairings and fanservice continue to be blatant and stupid, undead is portrayed as mere zombies and it's implied that everyone who have been killed by MC can return to life for some time at least. I also wonder whether OverLord's MC would ever act as "evil for teh lulz". The setting screams about it, can we expect it in anime? | ||
