Durarara has been absolutely on point the last few eps. The animation is as bad as ever, but the stories have been super good. + Show Spoiler +Varona and Shizuo fun next week.

+ Show Spoiler [Arslan 15] +I really don't get the point of this alliance. Seems pretty likely that Raj will end up backstabbing them, so I don't know what they plan to gain from this expedition. The end goal is probably to bolster their numbers with said alliance, but Narsus is going to have to work some real magic to make that happen, I think.
I thought Arslan's company was going to double cross Raj and team up with Gadevi via the spy, but that seems pretty unlikely now that they've revealed the WAR ELEPHANTS. Speaking of which, the war elephants' introduction was more ridiculous than imposing. I'm not really sure what they were going for there...
The bickering over Narsus is starting to get old.
I fully expect Daryun to die at some point just so that Arslan can finally get off his ass and win the universe.

One thing that I just realized was bothering me with Arslan is they never show or care about the average soldier. They don't have thoughts or personality beyond basic goon level and they are all visually clones of each other. Only the officers and servants of important people have personality.
Prison School is such a trashy show, but I guess I'm a sucker for that dirty humor because I thought it was hilarious.
Enjoyed Gate, read the manga, there are a lot of very mature themes that will need to be censored or cut. The parts that can't be cut can still be done, but very toned down. Vague future spoilers + Show Spoiler +This episode cut that the bandits also raped women, more rape in the future which can be cut. They cannot cut the sexual slavery as it's vital to certain plot points and characters.
Also enjoying Durarara, World Trigger, Rokka and Ushio.

I mean, the episode wouldn't be that bad if it was on itself I guess (can't really judge because I'm to emotional right now to gain a neutral view on it). But as part of the show it's utterly terrible.

Symphogear is pretty much what would happen if Toei decides to cross Pretty Cure with Kamen Rider. The only other time I've seen /a/ and /m/ discussing the same thing was when Garo was airing.
G Gundam, finished. It took a couple of episodes to get going (the travelling world arc), but once Domon unlocked the super mode pacing was good. The art style grew on me, but that took a couple of episodes as well. I expected more stock footage, but that was dropped altogether, which was nice. Can't say I liked the announcer/recap guy at the start though.

Better writing? The ptsd arc gave me ptsd from how badly it was handled. The best way to overcome trauma is obviously to induce more trauma...

I'm not saying it's good writing, just it's better. Mahouka is not exactly a high bar.

I was largely under the impression that they were exploiting the new world though.
