Episode 42 is the last one I watched so I'm in season 2. The first season was really inconsistent in quality and had largely boring episodes with unnecessary flashbacks and SoL. S2 had this sometimes but not as often and as of late it got less and less. Are we talking about the same? | ||

The big thing in early 90s is that anime become much less episodic and more arc oriented, so that each episode is not restricted to be self contained and have a nice resolution. | ||

The setting of the world is quite cool. I still don't like military and it was a bit too much for me here. I will give it a bit more time though because it seems it might change a bit from now on. So far it kind of reminded me of Age of Empires/Empire Earth, fighting against bots stuck in the stone age. lol Also watched episode 1 of Ergo Proxy since I was looking for a dub I could watch while eating and recently finished up Darker than Black dub (which was bad. Well the anime was, the dub was decent because of November 11s awesome voice/accent that fit his character so damn well) so I needed a replacement. I haven't seen such a brilliant first episode in a while. Got me hooked right from the get go. I guess this is not going to be the anime I will only watch when I'm eating... In OnC news. 3rd gear best gear already? Automations are just too awesome. Haven't seen any of them use that badass gravity control that we saw at the battle for the reactor in Horizon 1. Hope that's coming. | ||

But there's also Gen Urobutcher's char which originally was a boy but got turned into a female assassin. I have no idea about the characters but that's a female right there! | ||
