Tokyotosho also has an RSS feed, which lets you do this.
Or if you're awesome like me and have a MAL account, you just set up the torrents plugin in MAL Updater.

There's a MAL Updater? I'll definitely have to get that.

Multiple reasons as to why the OreImo extension is BS:
-How can they produce a "true end", let alone a "good end" when the original material itself, the Light Novel, is still ongoing?
-Bakemonogatari already tried this and it got railed on hardcore; granted the webisodes were released over the course of a whole year but that still doesn't take away the fact that viewers aren't going to be happily waiting for another webisode for longer than two weeks at best (an issue that can be easily remedied by simple effort, but I'm not getting an optimistic vibe here)
-The series from a development standpoint has stagnated; the last few episodes (arguably even including the webisodes) are going to be really rushed and, in the long run, the anime adaptation hasn't really gone anywhere, plot and/or character-wise: everything beyond episode three has pretty much felt like filler save for the Manami episode.
If they really go ahead with this idea, they had better use up those three extra webisodes wisely.
On December 08 2010 06:05 Blobskillz wrote: dunno what you guys have against Nagisa I liked her the most. Well I like Manami from OreImo too so maybe I just have a weird fetish.
There isn't anything wrong with Nagisa, personally, it's just that she's (completely) overshadowed by the rest of the cast; compared to them, she doesn't really stand out and really lacks any idiosyncratic[sic] attributes that really make her noticable.
However, I think that the calm, humble ambience of Nagisa is what really makes her an enjoyable character. Sure she isn't as wild as Kyou or as popular as Tomoyo but she's definitely a character I think that anyone would hold precious given how relaxing and comforting her presence is. She's like the eye of the storm of the series I suppose.

I think just about any high schooler would kill just to live Tomoya's life; I can easily claim from experience though that the tsundere archetype is pretty much near extinct worldwide IRL. >.>

Strange, Kanade is my favorite character in Angel Beats! and I really like Tomoyo.
I don't hate Nagisa, just something feels wrong about her for me. I can't specify what it is exactly. She is a nice girl and I would help her too to reestablish the drama club, so no idea.
But it's the same with the Amagami SS girls: A lot of different preferences, although most people tend towards either Ai (like me) or Kaoru so far. Tsukasa has the best ED song though.
Regarding LoGH: I'll continue to watch it, but not all one after another (and definitively not in one sitting, I'm not that insane). Maybe a few episodes now and then when I'm bored. I restarted from the beginning so that I don't forget to remember anything important.
Yosuga no Sora 10 is out, going to watch now.

There are quite a few of those "I want her in RL"-girls around in (recent) anime, I guess. But of course they are designed that way.

Oh yay it started, guess I'll actually watch the show for a change now. The anime thus far is just like...why don't I just play the eroge, I'll have more plot. Somehow.

It is funny to note how that there are really only two heroines that Sora warmed up to in individual routes, Akira and the class rep, particularly the latter.

Are there any other girls to really like in Angel Beats? If you count Yui and Yuri....maybe....?
And I can see people wouldn't like Nagisa. Though I liked her the most, I felt that Nagisa could get really annoying sometimes (not as much as Ryou though....or whatever her name is), and possibly because she was oblivious to certain things...which got annoying.

And Nagisa's overall airheadedness is what makes her so funny and adorable.

Girls Dead Monster.
Iwasawa was one of my favourites right from the get-go. Hisako always appeared as an interesting character that never really got a lot of screen time. I didn't think much of Irie and Sekine in the anime adaptation, though the small chapter dedicated to GirlDeMo in Track Zero pretty much made them one of my favourites too.
Also, Yusa.

I'm referring to the general execution of the webisodes. While it may not seem so bad now, the wait for Tsubasa Cat episodes, I imagine, were unnecessarily long and the wait time was really unappealing. I still read some sparse comments concerning the Tsubasa Cat arc and how much they hated the wait inbetween episodes (even though certain series, manga or anime, never get updated weekly but rather on a monthly basis or even at random times).
The material itself was fine, it was interesting; it's just that the execution of broadcasting the webisodes wasn't generally favourable.
In OreImo's case, they are simply going to deviate from the source material to provide multiple possibilities to endings in all likelihood.
I figured, but I'm just worried about the quality of these original alternate endings; from what sparse spoilers I've read, the canon plot isn't so bad at the moment and I'm just feeling anxious towards these endings.
About Nagisa, I never understood what people liked about the character herself, the themes around her family, the circumstances of the After Story, etc would make perfect sense to me, but not the character herself.
She was meant to be calm, endearing and friendly; she was designed to draw sympathy from viewers/players from multiple dimensions, whether it would be pitying her initially lonesome/sickly nature or finding her to be an overall adorable person with cute yet strange interests (Dango~).
|
The wait was pretty much unavoidable as everyone knew how Shaft is apparently going broke. tbh, OreImo will have it much better on this front because they can have an actual end rather than something that just hit climax but didn't finish due to airing time constraints. Really, I think the problem people had with the webcasts was how it got pushed farther and farther back every time, OreImo probably has enough of a production budget to avoid that.
The canon plot is at a cliffhanger to drag the series out, they'll have to end on an original note or end before vol 4 ending or somehow complete vol 5, vol7 is completely unfeasible.
