You might want to take this with a grain of salt, since I think Madoka was just average, but Nanoha is great, and without question my favorite magical girl franchise. If you want to watch it, go 1st Movie->A's TV->StrikerS.
For other magical girl suggestions, Nagi already mentioned Vividred Operation, which has its moments and overall is good, and then there is also Symphogear, and its sequel Symphogear G. Symphogear doesn't have much when it comes to lolis, but that isn't even an issue for me lol.

I'm not sure how many Magi fans there are here or if it's already been mentioned, but the Sinbad no Bouken OVA episodes were finally subbed. Well, the released ones anyway. I'm not even sure how long they've been subbed but they were pretty good.
