The artist sounds familiar too.
You probably know him from some FMA openings. I am too lazy to check what SID did between then and now (pretty certain there were some stuff but nothing off the top of my head) but FMA is probably where you first heard the guy.
That's it! Thanks. According to Gendou there's Kuroshitsuji and Bleach too.

That was weird i thought i hit post earlier
If something is dubbed you can usually find it on piratebay or just by googling.
The only problem is that these are school computers and they really suck most of the sites are blocked sadly
Dunno why youd want to download anime to a school computer but you can just use a proxy like hidemyass.com and you can go anywhere you want. If they even went through the trouble of blocking proxies then just keep trying, there are always a few that work.
I download it on the school computer put it on a flash drive and transfer it to another computer later because my windows computer that i have is messed up
Im halfway through the movie and Im enjoying it so far. The battle animations are truly stunning, and all the characters are quite likeable. I was afraid that Ranka was going to annoy me, but she ended up being really cute instead.
"A show about a girl named madoka who pilots a giant mecha" is probably the only thing that was correct.
Not fair to OP but somehow I just find this conversation incredibly hilarious... It's like some guy rushes in a sports bar and goes "Guys, I found this weird sports, if you somehow imagine a combination of basketball, soccer, wrestling and equestrian... you end up with this: A sports where people run into each other holding a ball and throw the ball sometime..."

Where did the horse go ^_^
now, i'm not gonna defend my oversimplification because it was intentionally so However, having not yet had the opportunity to watch any of it, I was left to compare the art style I sampled with the designs of Evangelion and Star Driver, and what I can tell of character and humor I compared it Immortal Grand Prix, and then there's the relationships and morally ambiguous dynamic that is (apart from the character name) reminiscent of the very grey Madoka Magica...
SO, with what information I have, those were the best comparisons I could develop... When I have watched more, I'll be more accurate I promise!

I still don't really agree. At most, you could say its similar to Evangelion in that it gets kinda "meta-phyiscal" towards the end, or similar to Star Driver in that both have a "lighter" tone. But as for the comparison to Madoka, nope, I don't see much similarity at all, beyond character name and main cast being full of girls. Two very different shows.
The main point however is that Lagrange isn't really "weird", unless you don't watch alot of anime.

Weirdness wasn't meant to be a main point at all, it was just an adjective I pulled out of a hat in order to encourage thought and analysis, since normally when anyone makes a claim or opinion about something's weirdness, people's first instinct is to disprove that... It's probably not weird in a lot of standards, but it's good weird in the hybrid of different genres and styles that I think apply.
As for the similarity to Madoka, I'm gonna have to watch more, but Don't worry I won't disappoint you! I'll have a more comprehensive reasoning for that
The only similarity between Lagrange and Madoka Magica is that both contain magical pseudoscience that will hurt your head if you try to rationalize it. Lagrange is disappointingly mediocre, btw.
