I thought that Gil said that there were no sword-based attacks in this game. Yet we see 3 armored guys use lances and the new elf chick use a sword. I was sort of expecting those fire blasts coming from Kirito who was trying to figure out how the magic system in this game worked, inadvertently shooting down the girl's comrade but somehow saving her in the process. However, we get the cliche guy rescues girl in forest. Oh well, here's to hoping. I'm glad that Medaka Box got a second season. Hopefully we'll get to see Kumagawa in anime form soon enough.
There are differences between races, the LNs talks a bit about them, but MMO Jesus gives zero fucks about game balance. He picked Spriggan because they wear black. I think they will talk a more about the different races, but don't expect to much.

So the only anime I watched was Death Note, loved it for the story and the suspense. Are there any other similar animes I could watch?

It seems like someone asks this exact question every month. I'm going to recommend Code Geass again and cross my fingers that it doesn't cause another 2 pages of flaming. Whatever you may think of it, Code Geass is 1) incredibly popular, and 2) very similar to Death Note.

Mirai Nikki is also a pretty good mystery/psychological mind fuck. Also Durarara!! is very good, has a similar dark tone to it.

Does it have to be anime? I felt that Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning is sort of similar is you like the whole "I know that you know that I know you were going to do that" type of thing. There's actually an anime of it but it doesn't really count :\

Ive been knocking down anime that Ive been putting off for a while now. Penguindrum being one of them. Ill prolly pick it back up after I finish R-15. Still got other stuff like Gosick, KWMS, Maria Holic S2, Mirai Nikki, etc etc.
Ya... R-15... I waited for bluray and its pretty much everything you'd expect. I still enjoy it nonetheless though.

I dont know, Spiral isnt particularly thrilling tough, Ive read the manga aswell and I did personally like the show but the not for the "I know that you know that I know you were going to do that" because that really wasnt particularly clever. Light v L was really good. Most people Narumi takes on is just "meh".
