I've actually never seen them (on my backlog), but generally speaking you always go in release order. One of the regulars will give better reasoning.

Kara no Kyoukai release order is also the book order. They are arranged thematically, and there is also the mystery to consider. In a way you are spoiling yourself if you don't watch it in release order.

Yeah, but I think what you meant to say in your original post is release order or chronologically as you are confusing me. 1 till 7 is the release order.

Production order is always best, because since it was produced that way, that means they meant for the viewer to watch them in that order.

Well i've heard that the most people who aren't satisfied with it say that it's so slow paced and filled with subplots that in the end it ends up simply boring.
It would depend on each ones personal taste, ofcourse, but still... looking for a general opinion, as it is quite a time-eater with its 70+ episodes.

I'd say go for it. I enjoyed it very much though I am not really a person who drops anime because of pacing.

Also, watch Kara no Kyoukai in order. It makes sense. You just have to pay attention a little bit. >.> Some stuff might be a bit confusing, but it's not that hard to get.
